The OP needs to understand the real rules...not the social ones that do not matter!

And I'll have you know that the second biggest slot on my explorer ship always is an A rated shield. Biggest being the fuel scoop. Reason being, I'm a colossal coward. But an honourable one.

edit: plus, I never menu or otherwise logged on another player in my life. I once menu logged on a bug that heated up my ship though.

Continuing on the irrelevant tangent. I don't need to menu log to sit still. I never try to escape.

2 reasons for that.
1. I have heard of the mythical being, called the Player Pirate. I'd love to meet one of those in the game.
2. I find combat dreary and a waste of time, so I'll try to get it over with as soon as possible. Being interdicted and no response on comms is usually a good time to get either some coffee or a beer.

So whether I last 1 second or a minute doesn't matter to me. The rebuy screen is a patient screen and will wait for me to get back.

The other day a wing buddy and myself were doing some cargo runs minding our own business. My buddy was in a python and I was in a corvette. Both of these ships were outfitted for doing cargo missions. So we both had little firepower and no combat tools. A player who was fully combat ready interdicted both of us, one right after the other. He interdicted my friend first and killed him. When he came after me I knew I could not fight him and that I would lose 12 mill if my vett was destroyed. Is it wrong for me to quit the game to avoid death when faced with someone much higher level with better gear who clearly wanted to just ruin our good time? I just want to add that if it was a fair fight I would have let whatever was to happen, happen.

I know I always bang on about Dark Souls, but they don't even let you know exit the game once you've been invaded. Either you die or they die. Clog a bunch and end up restricted to playing alone.

I meant that if his other alternative was using the Alt+F4 trick which is legit wrong (in theory you could get a ban for those). Yeah, he should try other means to escape that won't anoy people but again, he can do whatever he wants ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You can begin to log before the interdiction and then return in solo to a station, duh.
