I was rather reffering to the forum politicks.
Explorers mostly ignore it or arent aware of it, its only going to increase with at least 10-15 at jaques/colonia and many more moving out, and most of these are outside of the CCN remit, and wont react well when CCN high ups start registering on their forums and on their comms and abusing them or tell them they should be in CCN
Most of these are outside of CCNs discord so it doesnt really matter

Although I do love your optimism, I remain sceptical.
Its already breaking down into other camps so null void really at this point

This is the exact reason why we're trying to unite them all. So independent pilots can roam about safely. You can't expect everyone to be nice to each others; thus it seems to us that it's best to grab the bull by the horns.
Others within CCN have said to me they are worried about some of the methods of centralisation, but it doesnt really matter anymore as replied to ziggy theres an equal number and growing number of groups who are outside of any centralised group of groups mechanic, and who are also proposing direct community goal ideas to Fdev bypassing what colonia has had to date ..... and i find that acceptible, of course CCN are welcome to continue their contributions but wont be in control
Grabbing the bull by the horns is ok, its already well past and will be the same as the old bubble, so being behind the trendline im sure CCN will represent a % of player group activity but that will eventually be under 50%. Explorers generally work on their own anyway none of us can reach them all anyway

It was always bound to happen. Minor factions are needed for stations, and with minor factions will come player groups. In fact, player groups have already come to Jaques Station when there was only one minor faction there, Jaques. (Named 80 DD something at the time.) It's inevitable that player will want to organize, and as more and more people arrive, one organization won't be able to hold everyone together.
As things were, Jaques' original plan of being a mobile starport that roves through the galaxy would have been more of a new concept than this new bubble. But unfortunately, that didn't work out.
@ unrealization: Sure, and that's a nice aim. In my opinion, it would have been better to state it clearly at the start, so that it wasn't ambiguous. The original request doesn't have to be long to add all the relevant information: "Please don't sell your exploration data at Jaques station, but sell it in the neighbouring systems instead. This is so that we may avoid a lockdown on Colonia Hub. We wish to keep services open for everyone on all stations in the system."
Well, in any case, it's not my place to plan the CCN's communication, and you (plural) have cleared up the misunderstandings from the first requests. Thanks!
exactly marx, CCN have those who want it to have greater control through force and diplomacy ( the hawks we might call them) and then theres the other half perhaps who are happy with them being a resource but a non political entity who may well drift of if the hawks gather ways forward, but yeah its really outside the remit of the exploration xcept that exploration data is in itself a weapon of influence.
Events are moving to fast to keep traack of anyway, im looking forward to the next 15 systems that will soon go in with quite a few non CCN player groups getting their minor factions inserted..... Of course this will dilute the waters, create heck even more political activity and be very hard for any one entity to control.
But it will give more spots for trade / missions / exploration / piracy and all manner of other things - the democratic, business, communist and therocratic factions will add flavour
