I for one can't wait for the BETA testing to start launching. I wanna get stuck into this in a big way. I have loads of time to extensively test the BETA release of this ace game. Patience is much in need....

In a recent interview Braben stated he thought the retail version might be ready by the end of the year (2014). Gamma release would be sooner, but unknown how soon.

Releasing it just before Christmas would certainly make sense commercially.

And if they managed a number one chart position in the run up to Christmas they would get even more sales.

They're going to have to bring out an Android version of E: D
