If you are currently stuck not being able to launch, please clear your Temporary Internet Files via the following steps.
  1. Ensure your ED launcher is closed
  2. Navigate to Windows Control Panel
  3. Select Network and Internet
  4. Select Internet Options
  5. On the General tab, in the Browsing History section, click Delete...
  6. In the Delete Browsing History window that has opened, ensure the "Temporary Internet Files" is selected
  7. Click Delete
  8. Reopen your ED launcher
This should now require your launcher to regenerate its cache when it opens, allowing you to launch the game.

Looked like the reinstall was working fine until it reached the end, now it seems to be stuck in a loop downloading and redownloading the same few parts. Been stuck at "less than a minute" till completion for ages. The game folder gets to 53GB, then jumps down to 52.8GB, then does it again in a loop.
Have included the client log file.

Doesnt matter, its finally installed. Yay

I don't know if this is related or not. Last time I played the game (Thursday) all was fine. Today from about 8:30pm onwards everything has been unbearably slow to the point of making the game unplayable and that is if I can even get into the game. The launcher itself takes an age to connect (has stopped responding twice), once the game finally loads it takes another age to finally get to the main menu, followed by another age for the game to connect. I then have a 50/50 chance of my save game loading (hasn't loaded in my last 5 attempts - ivory some-ship-or-other or orange cobra errors). When the game did load the galaxy map would take a ridiculously long time to come up and frequently wouldn't allow me to access any system maps. Buying ship upgrades and modules had a 50/50 chance of working (usually involved a really long wait even when it did work) and engineering equally as unbearable... It's been farcical. It certainly makes me REALLY regret buying the arx for the Corsair I was trying to outfit and engineer! The only reason I persevered was because there was no sign of any posts about it on here... although that could be due to this forum having also had multiple instances where it either wouldn't load or was VERY slow to do so.
