If space legs does become a thing i hope they allow for bigger wings than just 4 players. Im also not holding my breath. Fdev has been slow as molasses on any big updates and to top it off they are alwaus way too buggy and take years for the simplest fixes to come through. Space legs will probably be super shallow with not much to do except look at . Only reason i play elite now is to bide my time for scam citizen to release and to also scratch that itch for flying space ships. I'm an fps player by heart so id love to see that. I hope fdev can shut me up and impress me so i can become a fan boy again but like i said im not expecting much of anything.
No space legs in 2020 imo - I vividly remember we had high hopes for this type of content like every year before a major update since the start
everyone still hyped about space legs??? wow no wonder people in this game have no greater creativity than grief others,... i mean on a space theme game with all the bugs and things in need of completion... people ask for space legs.... you cant fkn land on earth etc you cant go to awesome permit locked places, astrobodies are in low supply and ridiculously repetitive, still phenomena made irrelevant...i mean in this game so many things worthy of considering but people want the space legs.... how come no one asks for a serious guardian ship\tech?? see the damn thargoid hive ship arleeady?? have raxxla ingame already?? able to land already??? black holes getting cereal alreaady??' no ...people just want the space legs cuz its whats going to make this game better?? lol i foresee nothing but a new set of bugs! gg
I think I would stick with space legs over "serious guardian tech", "black hole cereals" or "see a hive ship"....
yeah its prob because of people like you that the orion zone looks awesome and like the graphics artist just took a nap and hasnt woke up yet... regardless those were person examples i could go on a long list of things i would put in elite before the legs... but i have better things to do right now!
They will add space legs before all that because of all the cosmetics they can sell
When the game came out, I was bouncing back and forth trying to decide whether to go with Elite or Star Citizen. Elite had the nostalgia element, but Star Citizen had the ability to get up and walk around my ship. To me, that was HUGE. At the time, I was led to believe that Elite would be adding "space legs" soon(tm), so I went with Elite instead of Star Citizen.
I sometimes wish I'd gone the other way. I hate to say that, but it's the truth. It's been YEARS, and I'm still waiting for this feature, one I considered critical.

Yes, I'm confident we'll get it in December 2020. They'll want to release it on-time for the Christmas sales (please don't delay it again Frontier).
There isn't much to do in SC, but you can buy a cheap starter pack to play the alpha version.

Don't see any confirmation of SL, its funny how we have sme topics (some of them even started by me like a year or two ago) "hey is SL confirmed?" before any major update.
It's certainly confirmed for the 2020 upgrade! Because I dreamed about it tonight. On the other hand, in my dream FDev revealed also, that space legs are THE ONLY thing in the 2020 upgrade, nothing else! This information also appears just as an in game message.

Star Citizen after years of development still isn't an actual game. Play for weeks, and then start over again when there's a wipe. Yea, lot of fun!

No official confirmation, but we have a leak that has been 100% accurate so far. Does that mean space legs is confirmed, nope. But the fact that the leak has been 100% correct so far makes it foolish to disregard it.
People don't seem to be loosing interest and its been over a year since there was any serious update. Fleet carriers are coming in about 3-6 months. Then the build up to the next era. I don't think there will be any issues.
If space legs will come, I hope that it will be possible to disable headtracking for fps gameplay. I use tobii eyetracker and I would not want it to interfere with mouse aiming.
