Is the 'January Update' the December Update minus FC's?

After delaying again carriers for "hearing" the community and focus on bug fixing including a beta, i wonder how would the community react in the case this small patch goes live and again, breaks half the game.
I dont know if i can handle it. Someone can have a heart attack from laughing i think.

Strange Question, OP.
Of course there would've been Bug Fixes coming with the FC update as well, and it would be strange if some of them are not inside this update.
The difference here is that we get to test them in a seperate BETA-Server environment with some more fixes on top and not being the QA in the live game. I call that an improvement!

I asked the question solely because we had been told that we'd be in a period of exclusive bug-fixing, yet we get new content in this bug fix beta.
Not that I'd disagree with your opinion, it is good to get a beta.

BGS states for certain. Also the beta has some 'enhanced' graphics .e.g. Neutron Star / White Dwarf cones (and they are impressive) and planetary surfaces appear 'improved'...

Of course, if one doesn't play BGS (why should one?) changes such as these would not strike one as 'new content', despite development time being used to implement them. By the same argument - don't explore / travel much - improved graphics... (which still require time to create) aren't 'new' :)

For those saying that the fleet carriers aren't ready, that's not it. What would you do with a fleet carrier if you had one? They're bringing in fleet carriers for a reason, which is that you're going to need/want to use one because of some new scenario, like Thargoids taking over the bubble. It's the scenario that isn't ready.

That would be awesome, watching the bubble burn....
But I did have a couple of ideas for using my own FC which required the bubble not at all :)
