Is the Thargoid tank empty?

I think everyone remembers their first interdiction by the Thargoids, the artwork, audio, the cut scene.
The Thargoid science threads were truly EPIC!
Discovering the Barnacles
Understanding the probes, decoding wave sounds..

The uplink device, finding the motherships or Thargoid map rooms...

But now the tank seems empty, all that science, puzzles, tin foil hats, guesswork and spreadsheets had led to what?

24/7 Pew Pew - Destroy them

I really miss the Thargoid content, now we have nothing but an arcade shoot em up!

I really hope the next mini update brings some fresh Thargoid Content, we are fed thargoid news stories all the time now, but there is nothing behind it. No science... it's a bit sad really

Did we work it out then? please tell (short version preferred). I got bored and lost the will to follow it to the end.

the short version:

fdev gave us some seriously gimped weapons that required a lot of grind and had limitations to fight OP NPCs. these NPCs then started "invading" systems and damaging statuons which then required stupid amounts of grind to fix.

for the most part players ignored them for a year until last week when FDev abruptly pulled all the goids out of the bubble and decided to replay the Pleiades "invasion" from a year ago over again.

sorry I mean the puzzles, did we solve all the puzzles?

I get it that they (Thargs) have become another level of the Background sim and not very inspiring for many peeps

This is what I mean, all this science and all some people think of is weapons to kill thargoids

sorry, there is no "science". Its a video game and some dev came up with some puzzles which to me felt a bit "Jr. Space Detective"....like part Sarah Jane Mysteries, part The Davinci Code, part National Trasure. Something targeted at a sci fi nerd tween who was maybe hanging on to the tween thing a bit too long rather than discovering girls.

Especially from the community management side I always felt like I was watching a Saturday morning kids show where the host talked down to you like you're 5.

No, we haven't. Apparently there's a way to dispel/contact the Thargoids without combat. Nobody has figured that out yet. Members of Canonn have been trying a ton of stuff with little luck.

Last I heard they were drawing our ships in morse code, but when you morse them back they don't understand. I think their receivers are bust, has anyone tried fixing them.

.-- - ..-.

even the devs haven't figured it out yet!

if this was in the game they would have leaked it to Canonn like they do everything else so it gets discovered at the most opportune time for "the story". That means either it's not in the game or its not time for that part of "the story" to start playing out.

Remember, everything that happens ingame happens when FDev wants it to. we're just along for the ride. All outcomes are predetermined and godhanded.

How exactly does the average person pull an image like this from a sound byte? I mean I'd like to help out but I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I'd imagine that signaling them in messages coded in octal, being that everything with them seems to be base 8, would be a good starting point

Yes.

Unknown Artifacts, scanned ships and sent the information back to Merope
Unknown Probes, scanned Navigation Information, sent to Merope 5C. This also gave us the location of the Thargoid "Home World" (Permit Locked)
Thargoid Bases, allowed us to hijack the Thargoid Communications network, and know their next targets via the Eagle Eye Network

Then it all went pew-pew.

(I may be a little wrong, I know I have missed out the Link. Its been YEARS since anyone was interested due to lack of any game)

Thank you. Have some Rep CMDR

I'd say those are all incomplete answers.

Why send it all to Merope and not e.g. their home world?
Where exactly is the Thargoid home world and why can't we go there?
What does the "star map" depict? It kind of looks like a/our galaxy, but is it really? Or is it the "Thargoid bubble"?

But probably it's not possible for us at the moment to find answers to those questions.
