No, there are no Class 3 (or higher) multi cannons.

I spent forever looking for them for my Clipper, but they are non-existant.

If you want kinetic weapons for your Class 3 hardpoints then you need to install railguns or cannons.

Personally I went with Class 3 Gimbal Burst Lasers and Class 2 Gimbal Multi Cannons (for my Clipper).
Class 3 railguns don't exist either. There are a lot of holes in our weapon selections. The special weapons like overcharged or low heat were removed after release.
for clarity
class 3 multicannons or class 3 railguns do not exsist.
he probably meant the plasma accelerator which until recently also did not exist.

There are indeed. With step-up to large guns, we lose easily the most badass pair, railguns and multi-cannons, and we get the lame PAC which needs to check out the sights before deciding to move towards the target. That's not to say we need large railguns or multis. That'd be crazy.

Cannons work quite well atm, yet to try the fragment cannon. As far as Python is concerned, I keep a pair of multis in the medium slots, I call them "power plant scrappage scheme".

Procedurally generated kit is coming soon (tm) though.

Large frag cannons do quite a bit of hull damage, but you have to be right up against the target. It's almost like they were tailor-made for the vulture, they favor that sort of aggressive knife-fight flying style. The downside is that you only get 30 slugs before you need to return to station.

You're right re made for Vulture (or Vulture made for them?). They're essentially massive shotguns. That's what's putting me off, I never liked shotguns in games past Doom for some reason. Ammo's not a huge issue, railguns have 30 I believe as well and they sit pretty and loaded on my Viper for prolonged sessions. You just have to make the shots count.

Now come on Frontier, give us some properly awesome large+ hard point exclusive coz the PAC sucks!

Fragment Cannon's DPS comes from quick repeated shots - its a semi-auto shotgun, not a pump one. This means 30 ammo really does suck, and is the major reason no one uses them, even in craft like the Vulture. Bumping the ammo up to that of the Cannon's would be a start.
