The type of mission reward is dependent on mission's rank, not its type. Higher-ranked missions will have more rare materials and commodities.
The problem is randomness, you might (and will) say, but even if you stick with one mission type, you can get all the materials obtainable by missions, eventually.

Ah, it is by rank! That explains why i am getting the same stuff over and over again. Since 2.2 I dare not do anything over my rank because of the fear of interdictions, so I thought that same mission type ginves the same stuff ov er and over again, but it is my ranking that is bothering. Well, rank of course is very easy to change... uhhhhh

Totally agree. Like I have done for the last three weeks: Play other games that bring more satisfaction. I reckon, when I do other stuff and come back in a few weeks and a lot of other players do the same, maybe FD will listen... And if not, I played without frustration for three weeks: win=win
