Is there a more modern guide to "sidewinder to andaconda in 24 hours"

But you need at most around 5 million credits to do everything the game has to offer.

i'd say 10, because that is what a maxed out cobra mkIII does cost. and there is nothing ingame you can't experience in a maxed out cobra. but yeah.

on the other hand, there are several things which are costly, for exampel running tests on the backgroundsimulation. i have sold goods with a loss worth several millions, to test the effect on the BGS.

each his own!

I always find it funny that people comment like "why would you want to get the biggest ship in one day" "you're missing out on loads of the content" etc etc.

But in the same vein, they say "play your way" "blaze your own trail" "play solo/open whatever its your choice".

It's pretty simple, these people enjoy being in the "best" thing in the game, the best armor, the best car, the best weapons -- and if it burns them out or it doesn't, it's their enjoyment.

That isn't really what's funny though, what's funny is the defences of people who think, nay, believe, that you actually need to have loads of credits or huge ships to enjoy the game. Citing it as a reasoning for their gluttonous consumption of content and getting into needless debates about what constitutes "playing", "viability" and then further down the discussion "fun per £ spent". i.e. "While you burnt yourself out in 6 hours and complain about how little content there is, I've been playing for 12000 hours so Elite has cost me about £0.0025 per hour. That's way better than the cinema!".

Not trying to insult or denigrate anyone in particular - I just find these types of discussions humourous and they all tend to fall down into "mile wide, inch deep", "your type of playing is boring, my type is the only one that matters" and "you children and your vacuous approach to playing, I've been playing games since before you were born".

OT: There are tonnes of guides out there on youtube, I don't know whether there is actually one by the original creator of that video though.

What exactly is being patched out on Thursday? Is it Robigo shadow missions, high-paying cargo missions (like the ones in the video from ThatTinyDude), or the ability to get multiple missions by exiting to the main menu over and over? I currently play on Xbox, so I don't know if this affects me or not. But I'm curious as I'm sure this patch will make it's way to Xbox at some point in time.

And, why would you want to play the game this quick? Its not all about big ships, the most money. Thats like eating your favourite food in one gulp without tasting it, or drinking a pint of beer straight down in one go. You just don't get the taste it, and its a waste of your money. Same with playing a game too quick.

Because having the money for rebuys is more entertaining than trading aimlessly for 300 hours while watching your favourite TV show on your 2nd monitor.

Maybe having the ability to buy any ship you want is the point? I can buy any ship in the game and I choose to fly things like FDL's, Cobras, Diamondback Scouts etc.

Is there a reason you want an Anaconda in ten hours? You know there is a whole game there other than just "getting the biggest ship" right?

*sigh*

these comments contribute little to nothing to the topic. Yes i know there is more to the game than "getting the biggest ship". firstly the anaconda is not the biggest ship, that honor goes to the cutter. secondly, where did i say in my post i wanted only to get the "biggest" ship? just because you want me to take 400 hrs to get a common multipurpose ship doesn't mean I don't want too or shouldn't. It literally doesn't affect you at all. I kinda find it funny you can grind for the "top dogg" ship in less than a sitting, proves the argument of "this game is just a grind" is less invalid, even though i think this game is grindy, it has nothing to do with "ships and stuff being too expensive".

You need to be quick. You have three days before everything changes.

Okay. does anyone know how to go about doing this "anaconda 24hr" in these changes?

no, not really. payout of missions in beta aren't always the same in the livebuild - FD is known to sometimes put carrots to have people testing missiontypes etc. anyway, missions are tied to single minor faction reputation now, and reputation needs to be earned.

my tip is (but might be wrong): using economic states for trade. what i have seen in the beta, you should be able to pull out 13 k/t a-b-a, under certain conditions.

Okay, I'll try that tomorrow. I'm not really good at combat anyways. thanks
