Elite / Frontier Is there a reason that Frontier Elite II and Frontier First Encounters are not available on the store for free?

1984 Elite is on the store for free, and that wasn't even made by Frontier Developments.
Yet two games that actually were made by Frontier Developments, are not on the store.

Just wondering why not, and if Frontier would be willing to if we asked them nicely.

They used to be available freely (as shareware) on the Elite Club before it went defunct, and should be available on a wide variety of sites.

I do agree that it's criminal that Frontier Developments don't have them on their own store.

Just waiting on DB to root out the source code disks, do a quick gameplay polish and squash all the bugs, then I’m sure he’ll get them uploaded

If there is any, the reason is The Money.

No! Of course The Authors' rights over their intellectually forerunning, pioneering project... However, Our beloved Founding Father Archangels could really benefit also economically...

If releasing Frontier, and Frontier: First Encounter to the Public Domain (with relevant Trademark clauses)...

Few more people would play those damn buggy games.
