Newcomer / Intro Is there a ship odometer?

Ship Odometer,

I can't find one, but there's gotta be one somewhere right?

A trip odometer would be great too (ie: resettable odometer).

If you download ED Discovery it has an 'Expedition' tab.
Is that what you want?

No trip odometer but a max distance from start, total distance, srv driving distance.

(Codex, commander, stats, exploration)

If you are on PC then you can use EDDiscovery - that has trip-logging as well as a multitude of other features. EDSM also can do this I think, no doubt there are others.

I was imagining something in the Ship Control Panel (on the right), but the ED Discovery recommendation looks fantastic. Thanks!

Your commander has one, in the "Exploration" section (I know where it used to be pre-3.3, but I haven't logged on yet to know how to find it). But this is a total statistic, for all of your ships. You don't have an odometer-style "distance travelled" measurement for each of your ships separately.

I really wish there was a "time spent in ship" stat for each ship. It would be neat to look at and compare how much time I've spent in each type of ship. I know what ship I spent the most time in, but it would be fun to see what ship was 2nd or which ship was the least or which ship I've spent a surprising amount of time in without realizing it or a surprisingly little amount of time.

This must be available because EDDiscovery can show a per-ship breakdown of stats. For example in my very recent clear-save commander:

My other ones are a wee bit long

Excellent, I didn't even know EDD had that functionality. I assume EDD does all those calculations itself, rather than importing those numbers from the in-game journals, because the game itself doesn't seem to track these stats.
