Is there a way to control comms with Voice Attack (or the HCS voice packs)?

One of the problems I face when in the rift is not being able to type responses to messages I get while playing in Open. Often these are just hello's, but sometimes they are requests to vacate the large loading pad and it would be nice to respond with a 'yep, just buying stuff, then I am off'.

But doing this in the rift is a little troublesome.

So, did some google searching and found not very much on this subject, which surprised me, in fact most stuff regarding clear documentation for VA and HCS seems to be a problem. Tried a few experiments myself, but to no avail, so has anyone figured out how to speak and see it come out in the coms channel? Or even spell a place name in the galactic map? That would be cool.

I'm downloading at the moment, the Oculus Home version of Elite (using my key) and will play it that way instead of launching from the desktop to see if Seamless mode offers anything that Non-Seamless does not.

Any advice or points to google searches that I might have missed would be most appreciated.

Singularity, a part of all HCS voice packs allows the CMDR to configure a number of customized, text comms messages that can be sent via voice control. The CMDR merely needs to say (for instance) "send standard greeting one" and the voice pack will send the CMDRs custom greeting number one:

OP. Have you tried a simple Quick Input command in VA? E.g. When I say "a" Quick Input "a", When I say "b", Quick Input "b", When I say "space", Quick Input " " etc

Theoretically once you've entered the whole alphabet into VA, once you are in the correct field in Elite you could simply spell words out.

I should really do that next time someone directly hails me. But for the 07cmdr! thing, would be just nice to have a way to put that in using VA.
