Is there a way to find CZs with Capital Ships?

I ran into some capital ships (almost literally) last night actually! It was in a high intensity conflict zone between a federation and independent faction.

I believe (I could be wrong) it was in the system called " LHS 250" (I was bouncing between war systems at the time so it may be a system near it instead like Haokah); the federation capital supported a federation faction and an imperial capital supported the independent faction.

That said, I have no idea if those capitals would re-appear all the time in that system or if it's RNG with a low probability.
That system is not at war (anymore)?

It has conflict zones, but strangely if you go to them they're all just one side, and certainly no capital ships in the high intensity ones :(

This game is so frustrating at times. You just want to achieve something, and instead waste hour after hour on tedium.

I ran into a pair of cap ships at the high CZ nearest to Horowitz in LTT 3572 two weeks ago - might be worth a look, not sure if its still there though.

In boom state now!

I know where one is right now. If you'd like to come and help fight for my PMF to gain control of a system I'd be happy to let you know where to look.

PMF? Is that some female hormone related thing?

Tried two systems... No luck to far... Off to try three others and then I'll give up - ED's tedium would have won by that point (again).

PMF:

Player
Managed(?)
Faction

I'd guess if anyone knew where to find one, an active player faction would.

"Player Minor Faction"

Minor faction in game, put there at the behest of a player group.

Took some digging, but I found it:

"The background simulation really does give you a random chance to include capitol ships joining the fray when a superpower is involved... and only when it's invasion" -- Dav

Its in the BGS video that came out around 2.1. Start watching at around the 54 minute mark, it goes by quick:

Thanks for finding it! I'm still left dubious whether he meant it as the sole condition, as it kind of felt like an side-bar comment. I guess I'll just have to do some testing.

If you do, please come back and let us know what you find.

The BGS is a mysterious thing.

I really wish these capital ships can do more in CZ instead of just park there looking beautiful with their big lasers.

Also when a Federation capital ship spawns there's almost nothing to do there, it will wipe out everything in the vicinity, including another (empire) capital ship, turning the CZ into all red or all green within minutes.

There's nothing else they could do, really. There's no greater objective in CZs other than "kill things", something capitals do with great efficiency. I hope one day the devs add in capturing stations and the like, then we'd see a lot more interesting battles.

(and thumbs up for that name)
