Is there New Music in Beyond?

I doubt they'll add new music for existing situations. So probably no new supercruise, arriving at destination, or combat music is going to get added into the rotation. But they might create new music for new situations, points of interest, etc. Seems likely that there could be some new "fighting thargoids" music once the scouts start showing up.

There is only like 3 supercruise songs? That is inadequate. Imagine playing this game for 80 hours and hear the same supercruise songs 100 times. That's not good. It needs more variety.

there was this elite clone called hardwar which had a great soundtrack, comprised of songs from various warp records artists. ed could do with some cold electronic beats

What's not positive about requesting things? I like the game music and hope they add more in Beyond.

Music is a core feature that shouldn't be neglected.

It's the fact that you dared to mention that Exploration has only a few tracks so it gets repetitive.. apparently that means your entire post is negative. :)

I don't have to imagine. I've done it. It does need more variety. I just have no real expectation that it will happen. Maybe it will and that would be good! In the meantime I turn the music off and put on my own music. Maybe you will enjoy: Space Journey 2-Hours Epic Music Mix

Whatever, just don't touch the Blue Danube during docking computer approach. That's the most eye watering moment in the game for me. Also a homage to 2001...

I'd be happy for it to go. I appreciate the connection to the original game and 2001 but I cringe every time I hear it. I'm a very big (ie huge!) fan of Classical music from the 20th Century onwards and it becomes very tiring to hear the Blue Danube as it has become a musical anachromism for me. Most people have no idea of the huge variety of quality composers that came out of the 20th century and it pains me that when you say 'classical music' to most people they only think of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Strauss etc - there is so much more out there after the 19th century it would blow your brain.

I'm also a big fan of the music from Elite Dangerous and would support more from Erasmus Talbot.

One thing that definitely gets overdone is the "arrived at end of route" music. That is very dramatic and appropriate for the end of a 200 jump route, but when you've heard it twenty times in the same session doing two or three jump trading routes it loses its effect. There should be a variety of short pieces for the more mundane arrivals - akin to the "ding-dong" of PA announcements in public places.

I'm another one who has turned the music off. Two reasons, one is the above arrival music, the other is the music on planet surfaces has a habit of cutting in right at the point I am trying to interpret the sounds on the SRV exploration scanner. It would be handy to be able to dim the music in-game for situations like that.
