Is there nothing stopping me from littering the galaxy with t1 Outposts and trash installations to farm that 10k/week each?

Outpost spam is becoming prevalent due to the low LY range preventing players from reaching systems they actually want to colonize means they need to chain dozens of trash outposts with zero functioning economies to actually place the stuff they do want in the systems they want to establish. Now we have a chain of abandoned gas stations everywhere, hogging systems others would prefer to colonize, as predicted.
I don't see the logic here.

Increasing the LY range will encourage players to expand out more and faster. If someone is concerned about '"station spam" and polluting the natural deep space environment, increasing the LY range is obviously not the solution!

Currently, with the 15Ly range the "station spam" will be localized around the bubble for a very very long time. To speed this up the LY range can be increased.

Personally, I think FDEV should have increased the LY range to 100 or even 200 LY. Then to launch another colonization effort, that area would need to reach a population level of 1M or something, or reach certain levels of security, tech, and wealth. This would require the player to build out the system and would prevent the chain of junk. Give players the sense of colonizing the black.

Also, there should be no cap on the architect payments; it makes no sense for the amount of work the player is putting in to put a cap on the payments.

Regardless, addressing the OP it doesn't matter if the LY range is 15LY or 200Ly, the OP's concern of "station spam" would be the same.

Instead of trying to reach the nearest nebula, players would be trying to reach Colonia, Sagitarious A*, and other locations far away. Its just a matter of scale.

I'm not saying whether space trash is issue. I'm saying what the OP is saying doesn't make sense.

My theory is becoming true for other reasons.

Given the size of the galaxy I’m not too worried. Over time I think many of these systems will be developed further.

Players are chaining systems in order to get out of the bubble and toward the black, which makes sense given the 15LY governor.

I’m certainly planning to go back to some of those systems I originally claimed merely as part of a system chain, both as to not leave them “dead” link outposts (though of course I will favor those spots with planets than star-only systems), but also because I did look at some of the places on the way to ‘somewhere’ - which in my case is not that far from the edge, 120-200 ly of pre-colonization border maybe - and thought “This looks like an interesting place to do something with when I have time”. That time might come sooner than I planned for depending on the duration of “beta” where we’re liable to see more or less significant functionality changes and I don’t want to risk systems of interest to be hit by a wrecking ball, because I was too impatient to hold off with developing them while the stuff on the foundation was still being built.

Though I’m still not completely sure I always get the complaints when there are systems present in the Frontier-generated Bubble that also have just a single outpost, Coriolis or Orbis (or Ocellus), sometimes without even anything else within the system. Granted they are rare, but they exist.

Dont see why anyone would pepperpot outposts for the 10k a week. Throw down a couple T1 facilities in the same system which are a fraction of the cost, and you'll tip 100k, up to 400k for like, 10, when you get the mix right.

OP: what hypothetical thing that doesn't exist can I get all outraged about and then complain on the forums as if it does exist?

Everyone: That isn't a thing.

OP: It is ruining my life and the game

Everyone: But... That isn't a thing

OP: This is the worst situation ever. Something needs to be done to stop players from doing something I don't want them to do!

Everyone: Aaaaaaaand there it is...
