General / Off-Topic Is this forum incubating?

Yep, lots of people mouseholed, recently, including me.
I'm still active daily, but only in Off-Topic and Newcomers. I no longer feel the need to argue about silly things anywhere else.

There's always a forum slow down pre patch and the biggie is coming so its to be expected. When B4 drops there'll be a massive upswing and all kinds of crazy salty rubbish.

Player numbers in game follow the same pattern.

Place got so toxic I just lost interest almost entirely...an echo chamber that argues over the silliest of stuff day in day out like a salty merry go round...pointless and besides, red dead redemption 2 is just more entertaining right now than discussing a game which is, to my mind, broken and bugged on the console fer over a year so...

Well ye know the rest...Q4 is the jesus patch and if it fails to deliver the shiny then even these brief appearances will end abruptly. So far, the signs aint good...but damn rdr2 is sooo good...nowadays the forum is merely a curiosity thing in the off topic sections until I see the patch notes that will tell me if its worth playing again or not.

As fer the rest of it...ye all have a nice day pardners ^

I use the new posts button place is still alive and well, but I tend to read more than I post or I post then find myself deleting what I've written as it either adds nothing to the topic at hand or it does but its been written in a way that might just add fuel to the flames, but now at least it's out of my system.

Its little to no point to be active - for more than a year I noticed its the same bunch of folks posting exact same "pro game" and "con game" arguments over and over. Nothing new is happening. Nobody convinced the other side of course. I got caught in this trap too lol.
Also I lost interest in ED almost entirely at this point so I mostly popping up in Other Games sub-forum.

Me too, I'm much less active in the Elite subforum. I was/am vocal, that I'm still playing (even though not in the last month as I'm usually sitting out beta phases), but equally this game desperately needs a major paid extension.

Nevertheless, what I noted is that the Dangerous subforum appears to have friendly titles, much less 'this game is dead' and 'where are my spacelegs' stuff.

Yeah and that's good.

Although I rarely post there any where near as much all the negativity there got very tedious.

I'm glad things are "on the up" (so to speak).

It's quite calm at the moment, this is a good thing. I like this forum but I have to stop visiting it sometimes because of all the extreme and unnecessary hypernegativity (yes I know that isn't a word in the traditional sense) making me question if I should actually be enjoying playing ED.

Lots of excitement for 3.3

The OMG the world is doomed and the game is dead flavoured threads are about ships getting slightly too hot or not enough paint jobs which is more amusing than anything else.

I just play the game. Lost interest in the forums due to toxicity — I mean I don't mind heated debates, but when the "how/what/why" gets replaced with passive aggressive non-arguements, there's no point in even reading it.

Seems appropriate given what's gonna come out of the eggs. :D
