Hey yall, I was wondering if you know if the current events and the temporary permits to Sol and SIrius could possibly make it not possible to unlock Marco. The engineer tab says I need to be friendly with Sirius to progress but I am currently allied with the faction and I dont have an unlock for the permit. I fear this is because I currently have the temporary one from the Cojico fight and fear I cant progress until this is taken away. Any insight would be nice.

Not sure about the temp permit and when that expires, I'd imagine your permit will become active once the temp one expires. I did visit Marco the other day and he was offline due to the invasion of Sirius. He may be back online after the recent tick as the system recovers.

Why do you need the permit now when you already have the permit?
You need to dock in Sirius and take the engineer invitation mission and complete in.

Can confirm Qwent is defo working for unlock, the Mrs finally got around to it this morning.

On the Engineering tab it currently says that I still need to become friendly with the Sirius Corporation to be able to progress with Marco. This made me assume that I have not unlocked the permit yet. Ive been to both Sirius stations (for the Marco invitation) and stations outside of Sirius (Hoping for the permit invitation) and i've gotten neither.
What is your current reputation with Sirius Corporation?

Hm, the permit SHOULD be unrelated, and the invitiation mission SHOULD show up on the mission board in Sirius.
Interesting, I def checked yesterday and even stayed for a reset of the mission board and nothing appeared. I'll try again later tonight since another CMDR reported they were able to do it.
Worst case you can try to purposely drop your Sirius reputation to friendly (just take a few missions and abandon, it will only cause a minor reputation hit and, depending on the ones picked, a fine or two) and see if this makes the game double-check on that unlock requirement. I've seen this work for people who had trouble getting to unlock a Odyssey Colonia engineer who requires you to be friendly with the Colonia Council faction, but lots of people would already be allied with them and purposely need to downgrade their reputation to trigger the unlock process.
If that doesn't work here... I guess you might just have to wait. But you shouldn't need to.
Thanks for the help everyone, I just went to Sirius and I had the engineer invitation mission. Either something changed yesterday or I did something wrong but either way thank you for the help!
