You know, that's a good question. I remember (was it Ed?) talking about the best secret feature of 2.3 that they couldn't wait for the players to learn about. Maybe he was talking about the lost generation ships with voiced logs? I could see that fitting the bill for what he was excited about.
Yeah that was probably it. Because, as a matter of fact I think this sets the tone for next "season" of expansions aka the Aliens and is pretty pivotal in more ways than one. To learn that superpowers are working together covertly to prepare for an alien threat is a big thing...
...Except the aliens are all waiting at a bus queue somewhere reading the Dark Wheel in boredom...

This seems to be quite common mitsake* if it even is a mistake at all. I seem to vaguely remember hearing something in English language class about the word "wrong" that it was an exception of some kind... but that memory is extremely hazy as it has been ages since I left the education system, so it may as well be a butt-fact.
