It is Frontiers fault! Totally.

Today i got an eMail from Frontier, that the galaxy needs me. Okay okay, i was not playing for the last 2 weeks...

The reason why i did not play during the last few days is, that it is currently too hot here in Germany to fire up my 700W VR rig and wearing an HMD. If Frontier had not delivered the world´s best VR experience of all times, i would certainly play the game on a monitor and on a much less heat sensitive setup right now. But i cant play it in 2.5D anymore... So it is totally Frontiers fault! :p

I hope they will continue building upon this awesome VR experience and i am really looking forward to see, what wonders of the galaxy they have in store for us with 2.4. So a big thanks goes to Frontier for making the game i always wanted and for the best long term virtual reality experience so far delivered on the market. I´ll be rejoining the fight soon!

Be seeing you in the (VR) void, CMDRs!

You voice one of the reasons I will not buy VR.
The other being that I don't think it will work well with Elite Feet.

You (might) dont know, what you are missing ;). I can understand your concerns though.

I had the same concerns for walking features in Elite as well, as i had serious nausea when playing Subnautica f.e.. However, since i upgraded my GPU from a GTX970 to a 1080ti and therefore have decent framerates and image sharpness, the effect in Subnautica is gone. Also playing Robo Recall with the walking mod made no problems. Looking forward to it now :)

I had a good chuckle at your temperatures and humidity OP, I used the rift all the way through a Queensland summer, mid 30's centigrade and up to 100% humidity every day. You get a fair bit of moisture build up on the lenses for the first 10 mins of use and then the headset seems to equalise and it stops. just train a couple of fans on you while you play and you will be fine.

:D seems like i live in a very settled weather zone then and am just a little too negative. But still, i hate it to steam or sweat into my HMD - cant be that good for the lenses and displays. But actions have already been taken and i will have air condition and UV filters for my windows within the next two weeks.

In Adelaide SA summer regularly gets to 38c. A winter fan now with comfortable "VR easy" 16c :)
