It is necessary to fix the pulse wave analyzer.

I spend a lot of time dodging asteroids and continuously activating the pulse wave analyzer, and among the hundreds of asteroids this marks the most relevant ones, being the ones with the most vivid colors the ones that have the most minerals (most valuable) it should be like this but it is not because many times when I send a limpet prospector it says "resource depleted" or that the content is water, lithium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide, liquid oxygen and I am looking for vacuum opals and low temperature diamonds (in a diamond area of course ), I don't understand why the pulse wave analyzer shows me asteroids that have valuable minerals and then I only find water and liquid oxygen ??? (or resource exhausted as I said earlier)

This game is the best of combat, trade and space exploration among all the ones I bought, it is only these details that I would like fixed.

From already thank you very much!!

Edited: I want to clarify that I really enjoy mining in all its forms and I'm not complaining, I just suggest that they fix this which I consider a mistake. Thanks for any reply

And if it says "resource exhausted", it's because you've gone round in a big circle and already mined that one.

Try to always go in a consistent direction (I tend to head roughly for the planet) to avoid this.
Or start near the edge of the hotspot and head for the centre.
As long, as @Ian Doncaster suggested, you have a target to aim for you are unlikely to go aroud in a big circle... Have fun :)

If the pulse analyser literally gave you a "this asteroid is x%" etc. then we'd have no need for prospectors and mining would become even more mundane. The pulse analyser gives you an idea of which asteroids are worth prospecting. It won't always be right, that's why you use the prospector. I find that about 50% of the glowing asteroids are worth mining. Seems a reasonable hit rate to me.

If you find a depleted asteroid, either you or someone else has mined it already. It would be nice if the pulse wave scanner could detect that - you'd have thought a mined asteroid would be fairly obvious. :)

If the glowing rocks are in a fairly dense cloud of ice and dust then it is very likely someone detonated a core in there recently so it is likely to be a depleted area.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for the 8 other very valuable minerals! I just accidentally realized this after mining what I thought was a worthless core out of frustration... I just pulled in a 17 million credit haul of Alexandrite, more than I've made from LT diamonds by far. Here's what you should absolutely not pass up:

Alexandrite

Benitoite
Grandidiederite (sp?)
Monazite
Serendibite
Musgravite
Painite
Rhodplumsite

The ones in italics you can absolutely find in icy rings, the others I'm not real sure of where they show up. Stay warm out there! lol

Sometimes, particularly in ice rings, with the mist the planet can be hard to see, so I developed another way to make sure you aren't going around in circles.

Go into your nav panel and select a destination, pretty much anything that is coplanar with the ring system, although the planet around which the rings are formed works fine, you then start mining rocks as normal, but make sure the compass always shows a solid dot when you move onto each new next rock. You can strafe left / right / up / down to get to some other nearby rocks, or go off at 45° to mine an asteroid that isn't straight ahead of you, but as long as the compass has the solid dot, you're not looping around on yourself.

A new mining instrument - the Compass Le Chardon :sneaky:

ha. This is great, I for one will start using this compass too. I've been trying to keep the host planet on my leftish, but I am often lost in the rocks anyway. this should help, ty

You are right, that's why they did it that way.

Perhaps the problem is that sometimes I am a little anxious ha ha, but there is no remedy, we have to be patient. Thank you very much for answering.

I will take your advice, thank you very much !!

It was positive to present my concern because I am reaping great advice from more experienced Commanders than I am.
