Italian animals

The Italian peninsula and its arcipelagoes are filled with various kind of endemic wildlife. My question was: would it be possible to implement them?

Here are some example of endemic Italian fauna that could be added to the game

-Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata, or Abruzzo Chamois, a shy animal living in the Central Apennine Mountains, mostly Abruzzo in Southern Italy. They are shy animals who live either isolated (the males) or in groups of the same sex (females with youngs). They can jump at a long distance, and use this tactic to move in the mountains. They can climb stiff cliffs like nothing.

-Alpine ibex, native of the Alpine region, they can climb stiff cliffs too, and are generally more social, although they prefer to live in groups of the same sex.

-European Mouflon: It can be found in central Italy and its islands, it lives in hilly regions, live in separate sex groups and are not generally aggressive.

-Sardinian Boar: Found in Sardinia and Corsica (some even claim it is found in Andalusia), it lives in forest areas with a lot of water

-Marsican brown bear: There are barely 85 Marsican Brown Bears left in the wild. They are more herbivorous compared to the other bear species, and it's rather territorial.

-Sardinian Fox: It is found in Sardinia and Corsica. It is an omnivore, is nocturnal and can dig its own den.

-Italian wolf: since 2019 its distribution has sky-rocketed and now includes parts of France, Switzerland and Spain. Italian wolf packs are 2 to 7 strong, and it's the Apex predator of my country after humans

There are plenty more, but I think I'll limit myself to these right now

From your list, the Alpine ibex seem to be the most popular in this forum and is often requested, so hopefully it will be added to the game at some point.

As for the bear, wild boar and fox, I think it is more likely to have a general species than a specific Italian subspecies (Eurasian brown bear, red fox and wild boar). The bear is not a popular request here because there's already the Himalayan brown bear. The Italian wolf is not likely to be added since we already have a generic wolf that includes the European species.

I would add to your list an Alpine marmot too.

Yeah, it is also an interest addition.

Another possible suggestion could the the Italian Hare

But then again, it could be replaced by a regular European Hare.

Another suggestion aiming at the cute factor is the Asinara donkey, a small Donkey wild breed found in the island of Asinara, which was used as a penal island, and that has white fur most of the time

I personally think that the Alpine Ibex and maybe the Chamois are the only ones from this list that have a chance to be in the game. The others are extremely particular and no one would trade a dlc slot for them knowing the others important missing animals right now. I would love a European Dlc with the Alpine Ibex as a representation of our Italian fauna.
