Items one would buy from a cash shop without gaining an advantage. (Anti-subscription thread)

Ship skins, bobbleheads, rainbow lasers, fuzzy dice, Engine trails, Firework missile ammo.. we could have all sorts of cosmetic things that would be fun!

When i get to walk around on my ship though, things start go get pretty interesting. Why can't i buy a hat? what do you mean this isn't Elite:SoloFortress 2??? Where do i install the new Coffee machine in my clipper?

Great idea, my English buddy would love a cup of tea with a tea bag on the dash.

Ship skins (player custom skins I would really buy), bobble heads, ships pets, custom space suit styles, custom cockpits.
.
.
Additional: would pay real money to never have to go to facebook/twitter or similar for any news about the game.

No. Because a cat would just lay down on top of the sensor display and NOT MOVE when you really need it to move.

Haha, but it could also be batting the cockpit window trying to catch that laser you're firing.
And when you can walk around your ship - then come back to get back in your pilot seat ... and you can't because it's sleeping on it. ;P
The possibilities... ;)

items for actual cash can't really modify gameplay under FD's current model so no space stations etc. Though there are plenty of suggestions for how to implement player owned stations without it being real cash ....not gonna happen either way though.

I'd like to purchase physical models of the ships so I can have my FDL and Anaconda next to my Serenity and Galactica ships. Or maybe sell them in model form and I can build it myself to save FD in labor costs to keep prices down of the model.

in-game items? Anaconda paint jobs. Different ship voices. Decals.
Ooooh, yes! I'm a model-maker as my 'main' hobby, and I'd so go for small(ish) models that I could build of a Sidey, Cobra, Asp, T7 and more. Sort of chart my progress through the game in front of my monitor to keep me grounded as to where I came from. And of course, I can paint them i whatever 'custom skin' I chose. Maybe even take pictures of them and send them to FD, and if they like them enough, they may turn them into a custom skin for others to buy. In fact, most of the work has probably been done for them. I bet most of the ships have been 3D printed by someone by now!

Every ship in this game looks like it just came off the production line id like some skins that make it look old and battered without having to worry about hull degradation. This may already be in the game but thought id put it out there.

Yes, it's already in game :)

Simply don't repair your paintwork and a few weeks of general use will have your ship looking scuffed and scratched.
Everything else - hull, mods, integrity - can be kept in top condition without affecting the looks.
In 1.3 the "Repair All" button now excludes your paintwork, so it's much easier to achieve this effect if you want it.

In reply to the OP:

I'd be happy to pay for the cockpit mods that others have mentioned.
And when our pilot avatars become more relevant, some customisation for them; goggles, aviators, flight jackets etc would be cool.

Oh, I like the cat idea. Of course, I already have 2 cats sleeping on the keyboard, walking in front of the screen at the worst time, chasing the lasers, etc.

-Ship bobble "heads" [Superdeformed "chibi" variants of ships wiggling on a little spring]

-Cockpit items [Wunderbaum, Fuzzy Dice]

-Cup Holder [+Beverage addon like Coffee etc]

-Steering "wheel" covers [fuzzy pink stick and throttle]

-Spacesuit paintjob

-Cockpit Interior Paintjobs

-Sponsor Stickers & Patches on the ship [I brake for nobody / Zorgon Forever / Thargoids or bust]

-Copilot Mannequin / Passenger in other chair or standing beside me on the bridge [I need a sexy co-pilot damnit]

Customised decals (perhaps a commander 'name' decal for example and 'submitted to be verified' personalised decals we can make ourselves... By this I mean i pay say 5 quid and I get to submit a decal to FD for approval for my own personal use use on my ships (so they can make sure it is an acceptable image), of course all such decals must be our own artwork and a disclaimer for FD signed etc...

Different colour cockpit chairs

Nice idea, I just don't see it being practical. If for no other reason than the fact that you generally don't get to see the outside of your ship, and any custom decals would have to be spread, almost like a virus, to the computers of other players for them to see it. That and too many unsuitable submissions mean it's unlikely in the extreme for FD to add in.
.
Having said that, however, they would get a nominal fee from me for a "Design a graphic" contest entry. The winner gets their design coded and added to the store.
And what's with the skin packs? I know they appeal, I have a couple myself, but would rather pay £2 for a single one that £5 for a set of 6, 5 of which I probably won't use. And if I later change my mind, I'll have to pay another £2.
Would love to be able to pay to change the upholstery in the cockpit to either a complimentary or a contrasting colour as the outside though. Black Cobra with Red interior, anyone? Or green/red, or blue/orange. I could spend quite a bit if I could change the colour of my cockpit. Or maybe different levels of trim? [Value/Basic/Tuner/Executive/High End/Oppulent?] Possibly you'd have to go for the Executive or higher for leather seats, High end including contrasting stitching, and Tuner having an obvious ICE (In Cockpit Entertainment) set-up.

Nothing, in fact I'd get a refund on my future DLC's if I could, at least until they prove they are actually going to flesh out the current game mechanics and start providing us with the game they initially promised.
They do not need any more of your cash, if CQC didn't get them enough blood money off MS then that's their silly fault.
And they havnt even talked about a PS4 release yet and what their exclusive will be for even more extra $.

Alternate ship sounds. ASP is good example of "love or hate" ship, so why don't give some options to the latest.

I like the cat idea. I'd probably buy it if it was implemented and didnt look like a plastic bobble head decoration.
