Fond memories of this game in the 90s, possibly the first one I played online.
I remember I beating an 'older' player, but was easily beaten by a 11 year old, who just processed iron ore, built a basic factory and spammed tanks on me... that was when I realized the depth of the game is somewhat compromised.
Anyway, I put it on whishlist and will pick it up once it will be on sale.

Fireytoad was streaming it at the weekend it looked good.
I remember playing around a friend's house. I took my Playstation over there, we set up two TVs back to back and played multiplayer.
I had an almost unbeatable strategy, which was a bit harsh, just build 7 aircraft as quickly as you can and then take out their construction yard. Boom, crippled them and there's no way back from that...
He didn't take too kindly, switched off his PS and refused to play the game again... He was about 20 years older than me, ex-roadie, biker, not the sort of man you want to make angry... We didn't play games against each other after that

I think I played the original already.
It's very unlike newer RTSes, but the story is bonkers and the FMV is great, so it's definitely recommended!
Damn. Looks like I am going to be buying that! I absolutely loved all the C&C games, and I never managed to get all the expansion packs at the time. This is going to put a dent in the spare time bucket
I feel it is more manageable than newer RTSes. Smaller maps, less complexity.
