It's over.

I have been playing for at least 3 years, and I am going to throw in the towel. I am taking my fleet carrier Elysian Fields to the center of the galaxy, to view its beauty. I did my best to keep the community alive and gave billions away, and helped manage the largest squad in the game. I watched us shape and change the PC and XBOX universe, with 24-hour battles with people around the world supporting our efforts. I started wars, made new friends and helped shape the game with innovative ship designs. I helped to spread fear against gankers and did not follow their rules of engagement. I do not have the money to switch to PC and will just move on and support another company. I will revisit now and then, and it makes me sad to see that I’m the last. I think about everything that could have been and Fontier destroyed it.

Ok, bye then.

BTW, ED on PC is pretty cheap now if you get it in a sale, even when bundled with Odyssey. I understand though if you don't have a gaming PC as a good one can be expensive if you're starting from scratch..

Several of the PS5 commanders are now on a PC. It actually doesn't take that much to run Odyssey as long as you don't crank up the graphics settings. I'm running the game on a non-gaming laptop with integrated AMD graphics.

I have a RTX4060 laptop („budget-gaming laptop“) and I have always 60 fps+ in space and 30 fps+ on the surface in 4K max details - and I am playing in silent mode, so the graphics card runs on low speed. So even RTX 3050/4500 laptops should be more than enough. And those are regularly on offer for about 600 to 700 bucks.
