General / Off-Topic Its soylent green day

Nothing dystopian about it. I'm absolutely fine with artificial meat, Lidl own brand veg mince makes great chilli and bolognaise (with beef stock) the burgers are good too. Quorn nuggets are a great chicken alternative with a Katsu Curry. I got into it whilst reducing the fat in my diet but found out it's fine.

Bring on the synthi-steak medium rare please. With onion rings and garlic mushrooms.

Just don't put people in it.

I saw this thing years ago about eating insects. Yeah, straight of the leaf they don't look that appetising, but pulped up with thousands more, much like the processed meat we see so much of today, I'd eat it.

As a side note, my partner has worked closely with a proper astronaut, his name is Ron, like most astronauts, he came back from space a changed man. He is fantastically worried about the state of the planet, politically and the health of it. His mantra these days is, if you want to save the planet, do 2 things, don't fly anywhere, don't eat meat.

He saw the things from above, it helps to open the eyes.
