I've been gone since mid-August, what did I miss?

The torsion spring on my X-56 flight stick broke a while back, and I just couldn't bring myself to play Elite without a HOTAS. But recently my financial situation has improved enough for me to get a VKB Gladiator Evo as a replacement, and I must say that it certainly feels like a fine piece of piece of kit. I received it yesterday afternoon and have spending my time since then getting my bindings sorted out and re-learning my muscle memory. The X-56 throttle still works, but I've got my eye on the VKB Omni-Throttle as an upgrade.

It's good to be back! I've been effectively dead to the world of Elite since the middle of August this year, what's happened since then? I heard that Titan Taranis has been surrounded by anti-Xeno forces, but apart from that I haven't been keeping up.

You have to try the thargoid spire missions, they are fantastic. Also trying to rescue people from the titans can be a rewarding if sometimes frustrating experience.

However, nothing new outside the thargoid content apart from the usual CGs.

Not long back myself but Taranis was collapsed, Leigong too but now that's being reversed as the Titans themselves are attacking.
The Barnacle Matrix sites became Spires and the Revenants were joined by Banshees making reactivation missions more challenging.
