I've decided to share a great trade route because it feels good!

then its a good thing that we have special people like you here to explain it to us . this must be your trade route as you are so angry coz of this post :)

and clearly you don t understand that without newcomers this game will die very fast . that route is not your private property , everybody can come there and trade all they like . when you started trading you also received help of some sort , doesn t matter if its some brilliant guide , advice on ts or forum post . more players means game will be better for all of us so instead of chasing noobs away we should welcome them and give them same chance to prosper as we had .

Rather than posting a good trade route, you should offer one-on-one help to noobs. I think most noobs would find that much more helpful.

Trade routes drying up is one thing that didn't happen in FFE yes a persistent universe is brilliant but its one of the reasons trading is not as fun as piracy. Currently trading feels more like accounting than playing the game in FFE you knew what they wanted.

i didn t post a good trade route , i just made a comment on existing thread . i did try one on one help and usually it doesn t work . also that kind of help is creating incompetent players , rather than doing that i give them pointers and advices , its up them to use them well . and once more , this route is well known .

also when route goes dry all those players that recently came will go back on their old routes and then you ll have your preciuos route back and running again . in the meantime use this to take a break from trading and spend your hard earned credits to have some fun :)

It has nothing to do with noobs... OP posted on the main forum, not the newbie forum. You really don't understand the game, it's not newcomers in Sidy's and haulers that will latch onto this route. It's guy's like us in 500T+ capacity freighters...

Op should share privately among a few friends, that what I do, and I'm sure many others here. Posting a route on the main forum allows the first 10 strangers in big ships to destroy the route. No if's or but's about it, any cmdr who doesn't visit the forum and has been flying that route will get a big surprise in the next hour or so.

Last I checked you couldn't land a T9/Conda at an outpost, so I highly doubt this trade route will be ruined anytime soon. It's been a known quantity for months and is still going strong for the small to medium sized traders.

Nope, but you can land a Python. Game over, it can out-trade a Clipper or a T-7 no sweat. You'd be amazed how many people there are flying expensive ships without a clue out there (see the "I flew an Anaconda without insurance money and died, I hate you all and I quit" threads), too.

This does nothing to help people who are flailing around for routes. It's the opposite. The links that I posted earlier in the thread will help people far more than stupidly posting a single route- it's not even as helpful as "give a man a fish".

yes you are right here . i ll go post it on newcomers forum .

Thanks for sharing Beatz!
I'll pop over in a trade-Asp later to check it out :)

And please don't mind the comments from the regular people here who did not even watch the video starting arguing about drying up the route with 500t cargo ships on a route to an outpost;
CLASSIC!

Why care so much? It's just one route, there are quite a few other ones out there, as you point out with your links in the previous post.

*shrug* Profitable route gets outed and bled out. Such happens, secrets spilled and there's a gold rush. Gold rush ends. Anybody really care? To even mention it in the same sentence as griefing is ridiculous, even when you qualified it with "borderline".

There is a reason why people don't do this any more. Since it apparently eludes you, I'll leave it as a fiendish puzzle to torture your immortal soul. Or something.

Well I only watched about 5 secs of the video. My comment still stands, when someone posts a route here it is all the big freighters that end up killing a route. And as mentioned, nothing from stopping me and my friends from using our Python's on this route.

@Magot - I didn't even see that as a comeback, if the op at least posted on the noob forum it would make a little more sense. He achieved nothing but killing this route for the existing traders.

I was more than happy sharing my routes, and I used to post my routes here a lot. It now achieves absolutely nothing except make a few people some money, and deprive those who genuinely found the route.

Um...can't you just do this in private/solo?
No more dried up traderoute?

We all share the same galaxy. Surprised this whole topic is such a revelation for some people here. If you have been on the forum long enough you will know that routes got posted all the time, it was a great community spirit, after the dev changes in 1.1 everyone stopped.

Anyway, rep to the OP for his good intentions, but for the 15/20 people he just helped earn a quick buck, he also screwed things up for the many traders already on that route. How anyone can think that is a good thing is beyond me..

Lol, you think thats bad, at one point in time I had a great route absolutely TRASHED by a trading community goal...entire sector was wiped out, had to move for a while (after goal)

Kinda glad I did not give him my route when he asked me on PM... It could have been mine being shared!

OP asked you for your trade route prior to posting this thread?....

OP, I am assuming good intentions with no malicious motivations....but....has anyone considered this was never his route to begin with? That he got this route from someone, made a video and posted it

Pure speculation based off of a one-off comment...but...the implications....un...bearable....;)
