low npc pop systems make it easier, but there are some black markets near jamieson if u want to still get involved
I also base my home out of Jameson and have since day 1. If the station is bombed and I need to use it I just log out and go play something else. If I fly out to Drac and it's been bombed I just log out... no sense even playing with UA bombing trolls. Let them waste their time and energy lol I won't waste mine. You should do the same. The less people playing and complaining is for the better in this case.

The Lockdown mechanism is really a very poor one in its current state.
FD should keep it, but instead tie it to pilot reputation with stations' controlling factions and/or their current outstanding fines/bounties.
Have it penalize the criminals, rather than everybody.
For those with good standing, Lockdown should be apparent based on higher security presence, increased police interdictions and scanning, and perhaps a requirement to visit a Checkpoint for scanning before being allowed to dock.

So, what I gather from your posts is that you have to have a genius tier intelligence level to do anything more complex than tie your shoes, correct? I'm not saying anyone is pulling off a genius move. I'm saying that you obviously have a stick up your bum and your mother must be very proud of you for completing menial daily activities if you really think that people pointing out Frontier's flaws in-game using in-game tools is really such a travesty.
You've lumped every griefer into a single group without leaving your own little private safe haven. You're part of the problem with this forum, much as I said in my original reply.

but we're back to the crime 'n' punishment discussion again. The consequences for the people impacted are greater than those like to set things on fire. v-vandelism becomes v-terrorism. Perhaps the Thargoids will smell out the trouble makers and drag them aside for more "chats" than the rest of us . In a twist, they provide more danger but some balance. Now there's an idea ......

but request to FD on this subject .... can we have somthing around permits, even if its just for SD as this, as you correctly state is a reward and privilege thats earned ... and should be at risk of losing .
Yes, some vandals are good artists, but their mess is aimed at causing problems/cost for others, hence, amoral.
I enjoyed the gameplay and community spirit of pushing SD out of lockdown and i recognise people have the right to push it the other way, but there have to be conseqnces. There were consequences for those of us that spent 2 days in SD handing in bounties so why not for the other permit holders who left the grafitti

I have a Bachelors in computer Sciences and minored in psychology. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt what crowd of people you belong in. Every griefer is lumped into a group. They are a category of players who do anything and everything possible to disrupt everyone elses time.
I have over 30 years experience with all forms of gaming as a hobby and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that the people you are standing up for are worthless at best. If they were not hiding behind the fact that they are anonymous and physically untouchable, then you would not see them in this game. Anonymity allows any human to look beyond cultural norms and morality and act with complete malice and lack of empathy.
Those who utilize anonymity as a shield against morality in any setting real or virtual leans to specific mindsets. Lower mental capacity and lack of imagination or psychotic tendencies and lack of morality. Now seeing as how most real psychopaths would not be playing video games or interacting with a community in any way, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and attributing it to the mental capacity aspect. If you want to call them all psychopaths, then you can go ahead and make that distinction because I am not.
They are not pointing anything out. They are not doing this to help the game. They are doing these thing to the games detriment. As soon as it does require actual thinking or effort on their part, they will move along and try and find something else to exploit. When FDEV have finally nailed all the easy exploits, these people will leave the game entirely. They have no other purpose. However the damage they have done to the community and potential new players are permanent. So they will leave the legacy of making the game worse in the long run. Which I am sure makes them happy as pigs in slop.

1: Nothing going on at Jameson or in Shinrata is detrimental to the game itself. Only to those who cannot fathom having their game influenced by a source external to their own input.
2: For something to be considered an exploit in video games (which you should know this definition well if you've been at it for 30 years) then the exploit needs to provide players utilizing it with an advantage over players not utilizing it. Credit holes are not exploits as credits don't provide you with the advantage as things currently stand in-game.
3: They are pointing out how shallow the BGS mechanics are. Of course, there are other items in this game that I personally feel should be focused on first.
4: In a bubble with thousands of systems and exponentially more stations, if the loss of one or two stations is so detrimental to you that you need to begin labeling the groups of players causing said loss as psychotic, lacking in mental capabilities or morality, then I feel that the problem is with you.
