I need halp! My T-Flight X is starting to "creak". It's weird. If I move slowly it sticks and clicks and creaks and it's driving me insane. Anyone else experienced this and figured out a way to fix it? I'm wondering if I can drop a couple dabs of oil in there but I'm hesitant for obvious reasons (but if someone else did it successfully I'm all in!)

Try something like WD-40 Dry PTFE lubricant. I use it on my X55 and its silky smooth now and that leaves no residue for dust to collect etc which you can get with an oil based lube.

Great tip, thanks! Do you open it up and lubricate it or do you apply it on the ball under the stick?

How did you apply it? Just pop open the bottom and spray it in? Sounds like it could be useful for the X52, after I send it back to Saitek for repairs.

That's how my X-52 died. Started with a creak, still worked fine but then two buttons in the throttle died... and then the twist rudder failed on the left yaw. So after a year and a bit of X-55 and X-52 dramas, I am now opening a package that just got delivered containing a CH Products Pro Throttle, F-16 Combat stick and Pro pedals. Happy CMDR Modoc is Happy. :D

How do you guys cope with not having a twist to yaw? I really need to yaw, especially when docking.

A friend of mine used teflon lube for a bicycle chains and gears, and it works so far. Time will show how safe it is :D Should be fine, and last very long time.

When plastic stuff starts to creak like that it is most likely on the way out. The PTFE is a very good idea and might work, but start savin' bro. I had 2 headsets where creaks basically meant microcracks. Good luck tho!

The issue is more specifically: If Axis is assigned to Roll, then the deadzone is gone.
But, I do not want my roll on my Joystick, I want to jaw left and right, but going to this setting creates the deadzone.

Is there a way to overcome the deadzone while having joystick to jaw left/right?
