Joystick TOO sensitive .... is there an INI file somewhere...?

Hi
This is one for the tech-savvy...

I use a Wingman Attack 3 joystick.
According to the Windows 10 settings it is calibrated ok.

BUT... I find it is too sensitive for me; I constantly 'overpitch' or 'overroll' when getting to a target (particularly scooping).
As a workaround, I've used the bindings to apply several keys to pitch and yaw; this enables me to 'nudge' the cursor onto the target (but, of course, its a 'waste' of keybindings)

I was wondering, is there an INI file either in the game or in Windows 10 that will allow me to REDUCE the sensitivity of the joystick...?

You can adjust the deadzone in the game options, but that's it, and it's not the same as sensitivity.

What you're looking for is the ability to set a sensitivity curve. If your joystick doesn't offer decent software for this, I would recommend joystick curves. Takes a bit of work to setup, but if you're coming from an overly sensitive stick with linear sensitivity, it will be an enormous improvement once you have things tuned to taste.

Thanks guys
Trouble is, increasing the deadzone doesn't help - when the joystick eventually kicks in, it's back to where I started - 'overpitch, overroll' :)
I think I'll try Joystick Curves (thanks Morbad) - I'll follow up with a post about the results

Hi all
I just realized what a dumb question I asked in the OP...
If there was an INI file to accomplish this, it would be open to abuse ; ie unethical commanders might edit such a file to have their Corvettes turning like Sidewinders...
Sorry for wasting your time... 😞

There is no realistic way to abuse input sensitivity, as you cannot exceed the rotational performance of the ship itself.
