Jump range on the Clipper?

Class 3 fuel scoop is the way to go. The tank is so small that you'll want to scoop a little bit at each star. Using a class three means you only have to stop for a few seconds each time. It's worth sacrificing the cargo space IMO.

Can't remember what class it is but I think it was around 148k ??

Recently upgraded to a clipper, its fits the Empire's lore nicely. Its pretty with extra bells and whistles (literally in terms of sounds). Its not better than a type-7 for trading really, and I liked the type-7 better in an oculus because of the views. It can defend itself from NPC pirates better, but the hard point layout is awful. Its fueltank is very small for its size BUT if you need to scoop on a trade run, its too long a trade run.

I wouldn't trade it back for a type-7 at this point, but I would have been better off just flying the 7 and not working on Empire rep for Baron from a pure financial standpoint. From a game stand point though, no regrets.

I'm using it as a trader of all the bigger ships (upto Clipper) it's the best to fly feels like a Cobra.
If I fancy some bounty hunting I jump into the Asp.

I get 3 summer land summons as unavailable missions as I have the permit. I only remember getting the Achenar one and now I've that and Sol too. Still not found a Baron mission anywhere.

Anyway to fix this bug? Get rid of the old missions so we can progress?

Recently dropped the T7 for a Clipper, the 240 cargo layout is awesome and the Class 3 shields sufficient to bowl smaller ships out of the way when exiting dock.

Although it's wide, as wide as a type 9 even, it's easier to get into dock than a T7 which I had lots of issues with height wise.

I bought this as a hauler really, 2 mil an hour or more very easily achieved and it's very easy to fight with. Very maneuverable, fast and any normal NPC stands no chance even if this just has pulse lasers fitted with 4 shields and 4 shield cell. But be warned: If you wanna fight in this then be prepared to spend a lot on fittings, especially shields as any ding in the hull costs 66k per 1%

Just for the record, this thing sounds amazing, has no overheat issues from stock unlike the T7 which overheats when jumping and can now shoot straight ahead with all 4 hardpoints.

I believe the A5 FSD (5 mil) will get you about 17ly tops, with a little fettling between Life Support, Sensors and Thrusters.

Can't really understand anybody switching back from clipper to T7.
What's better in the T7:
- A little higher jump range (not much)
- twice the fuel capacity

What's better in the clipper:
- Way more agile
- More tonnage
- Real weapons (if you want)
- easier to dock
- higher speed
- way cooler looking

So i can see a T7 as better if you are doing something like a 70LY trade route where clippers fuel maybe not enough (and maybe you don't want fuel scoops, can understand that).
In EVERY other case, in my view, the clipper is clearly superior.

Ive tried the clipper and tbh i think the T7 is better after using it. The clipper for the money has crap weapon spreading, crap fuel capacity and low jump range even with an expensive drive. Ive now sold it and gone back to the T7. Wish i never wasted my time getting to Baron status tbh, waste of time as i coulda been trading in my T7
