I thought I'd post my tips for getting away with minimal damage if you've jumped too close to a star.
If you try frameshifting without letting the temperature settle first you risk taking more damage than you need to.

- Firstly, as the good book says DON'T PANIC - zero your throttle. While you may be taking some heat damage at this point your hull should be cooling, once the temperature gets below 135% you'll stop taking heat damage.
- Wait for the temperature to drop further, while your doing that, target the star using the Navigation panel and align your ship so it's pointing directly away from the star. (there should be a hollow circle in the centre of the nav compass.
- By this time the hull should have dropped to around 80 - 85 degrees, if not wait for it to do so.
- Once the temps stopped dropping hit your frameshift key.
- If you've followed step 2 you should see the escape vector almost perfectly aligned if not finish lining up while the engine's charging. The heat will climb past 100% again but you should jump out before it gets above 135%.
