Jurassic World Evolution 2: Feathered Species Pack and Update 6 Out Now!

I want to make a report on one bug i've found in this update: Can't drive all vehicles (except for the gyrosphere) in manual mode when in first person camera, the accelerator (RT and LT) doesen't work, at least in Xbox series X version.

Beside, i also want to thank you for all kinds of trees in the same map, just that makes this update one of the best updates yet.

Happy Birthday.

"PS4 to PS5

Please , show us a tutorial on how we perform this action without the game in PS5 telling us that we need 136 free blocks of save and that we need to delete some old JWE2 game saves.
Hello Park Managers!

We're excited to announce that the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Feathered Species Pack is now available, alongside Update 6!

Welcome four incredibly fascinating species to the Feathered Species Pack, that all exhibit magnificent plumage that are bound to excite your guests. You'll discover the powerful Yutyrannus, the nimble Jeholopterus, the eccentric Deinocheirus, and the Sinosauropteryx with its exquisite features. These prehistoric species will definitely make a statement when added into your park.

New Prehistoric Species

Yutyrannus

Believed to have lived during the early Cretaceous period in what is now Liaoning Province, the Yutyrannus is striking and powerful. This carnivorous dinosaur is a surprisingly social species, so get your enclosures ready to accommodate a few of them!

Jeholopterus

Jeholopterus is the smallest airborne species in the game, allowing it to be impressively agile as it soars through the sky to hunt down its next meal! Its extraordinary plumage is sure to catch the eyes of your guests, as it soars through your aviaries.

Deinocheirus

Possessing arms longer than any bipedal dinosaur, the Deinocheirus is one of the largest ornithomimosaurs ever discovered! Combined with its curious figure and large clawed hands, it is sure to be a remarkable dinosaur to add to your parks.

Sinosauropteryx

First discovered in 1996 the Sinosauropteryx is a small, carnivorous dinosaur. Its delicate, hair-like feathers and waving striped tail are sure to attract guests to delight in its quirky characteristics.

Free Update 6

Alongside our new prehistoric species, the Feathered Species Pack will also come with Update 6, a free update for everyone who owns Jurassic World Evolution 2. This includes some exciting additions, as well as some quality of life updates and bug fixes. To access all these new features, all you need to do is update your game.

Decorate your park with new remote viewing galleries, perfect for your guests to get up close and personal with their favourite dinosaurs and flying reptiles! You can choose between the log viewing gallery or the dome viewing gallery to decorate your parks with. We've also brought two new variants to the Zipline attraction that was added on the 1st anniversary of Jurassic World Evolution 2. Will you be adding the DFW Zipline or the Jurassic Park Zipline variant?

You'll also notice we've added a new capture mode, the Cinematic Camera. Try it out and and don't forget to share your screenshots with us when you do!

I have yet to get the Feathered Species Dinosaur pack DLC.

When I am re-doing the first level of Chaos Theory, I take it well learning that the Log Viewing Gallery (in which I thought to be a Jurassic-World-exclusive) and Dome Viewing Gallery are available in the Jurassic Park era as there is the Jurassic-Park-style entrance. I am glad to see these buildings that function like the Viewing Dome in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis added in this game.

I have been thinking that these will make it easier for anyone new to try the Jurassic Park Nublar challenge mode.

Those flat sandbox levels will they be unlocked from the start or will you have to unlock them like the normal maps ?? Asking for people that been holding off on getting it on console so if they are immediately available that would solve that for most people

As far as I can tell, the Flat maps should be available from the moment you unlock the base form of them.

Unfortunately not, they are still broken. :(

Also Deinocheirus is listed as a medium species, although it cearly shoud be classified as big.
And the likes list of Therizinosaurus is faulty again, lol:

Oviraptor is listed twice, and Sinosauropteryx (also a scavenger) is missing. They should be summed up simply as 'Scavenger' (+ Lystrosaurus), like before. Why was that changed in the first place?

The Therizinosaurus cohabitation needs work. Apart from Lystrosaurus and Scavengers, would it be better if Therizinosaurus likes Gallimimus? According to my research; Gallimimus and Therizinosaurus are discovered in Nemegt Formation.

Hey Ryo! Are you entering the vehicles from the Guest cam, or is this when you select the vehicle and choose "Direct Control"? Just want to get a sense of the steps involved :)

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't think there are plans to readjust Theri cohabitation further

With all due respect, Mr. Erik,

We don't expect the Therizinosaurus to like other types of herbivores especially the ornithomimids. I have been thinking that Gallimimus and Therizinosaurus being able to cohabit would make the exhibit authentic due to being in the same timeline and same place of fossil discovery. This element should be applicable in the challenge mode and the Jurassic World: Dominion-related campaigns especially the BioSyn one. Currenlty, it looks like the Therizinosaurus in Jurassic World: Evolution 2 is depicted as a territorial dinosaur that lacks tolerance for other species.

No, the Therizinosaurus does not need more likes relationships. It already likes the scavengers + Lystrosaurus. Seems fine to me.
The only thing that needs to be fixed is the error concerning Sinosauropteryx, it's disliked by Therizinosaurus even though it's a scavenger too.

We don't need the Therizinosaurus to like hadrosaurs and the combat-capable herbivores. Of the ornithomimids, there should be one exception.
It is natural that like all combat-capable herbivores, Therizinosaurus dislikes carnivores and Wu's hybrids.

Do some research. One more like relationship for the Therizinosaurus can make a TREMENDOUS DIFFERENCE for three gameplay modes.
Therizinosaurus liking Lystrosaurus (even if it is one-sided) is weird due to being in different timelines. Lystrosaurus is in Late Permian to Early Triassic whereas Therizinosaurus is in Late Cretaceous. But putting Therizinosaurus with scavengers does not sit right with me due to their different demands.
Originally, Oviraptor is discovered in Djadokhta Formation whereas Therizinosaurus is in Nemegt Formation.
In the Germany challenge mode, there are no Scavengers.

It's fine as it is. And the like/dislike relationship doesn't have anything to do with game modes or even the timelines the real-life animals lived in.
You are just making things up out of personal reasons and preferences.

As far as I can tell, the Flat maps should be available from the moment you unlock the base form of them.
For those wondering, someone was kind enough to test it out on console and the 6 flat maps are available without the need to unlock for sandbox mode. Still hoping we get an option to unlock all maps for sandbox mode though because it still limits people who are not into playing other modes then sandbox

A few amendments are needed for dinosaur cohabitation in Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

The like/dislike relationships are based on the timelines that the real-life animals lived in and have effect on all gameplay modes.
It is logical that stegosaurs and ceratopsians dislike each other because they are in different timelines. Stegosaurs range from Mid-Jurassic to Early Cretaceous whereas ceratopsians are all in the Cretaceous period from early to the end.

There are still some park guests who would love to see authenticity in dinosaur exhibits and it is achievable in the herbivore exhibits. They would like to see dinosaurs put together in the same timeline and same place of fossil discovery. However, the challenge generally is on their different food preferences.

The following likes relationships suggested are based on research, NOT OUT OF PERSONAL REASONS AND PREFERENCES:

  • Gallimimus and Therizinosaurus
  • Torosaurus and Triceratops
  • Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus

Have a look at these for evidence:

Nah, they aren't "needed". And again, the likes/dislikes aren't necessarily based on timelines, lol.
According to your non-logic lions and hyenas would "like" each other for instance, since they are both from the same timeline and even from the same location. But we all know how it is in real life

Lions are of the feline family and hyenas are of the canine. As those modern-day carnivores are of different families scientifically, they do not like each other. It is natural that all carnivores of different scientific families regardless of timeline dislike one another. A number of us who played Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis before Jurassic World: Evolution 1 & 2 might find it odd to see Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor liking each other even if they are of different scientific families. When it comes to the cohabitation relationship between Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor in Jurassic World: Evolution 1 & 2, it should stay as dislike.

In Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis; Allosaurus tolerated Ceratosaurus and would not hesitate to fight back when Ceratosaurus made the first attack move in hunting. Even though Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus like each other in Jurassic World: Evolution 2; some of us saw them fighting one another. The following like relationships in Jurassic World: Evolution 2 are weird and can be likened to the illogical "lions and hyenas liking each other":

- Allosaurus and Metricanthosaurus
- Majungasaurus and Qianzhousaurus
- Albertosaurus and Carnotaurus

Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus belong to the sauropod family in general. The common places of their fossil discovery include Bone Cabin Quarry and Como Bluff in Wyoming besides the Dinosaur National Monument and Morrison Formation (as shown in Jurassic World: Evolution 1 & 2).

The same goes for Torosaurus and Triceratops as they belong to the ceratopsian family. Their fossils were in fact discovered in Hell Creek Formation, Lance Formation, Laramie Formation, Frenchman Formation, and Scollard Formation.

Though Gallimimus and Therizinosaurus are of two different families scientifically, they are herbivores discovered in the Nemegt Formation and should be able to tolerate each other. Therizinosaurus disliking Gallimimus seems more like overdoing depicting Therizinosaurus as a territorial anti-social dinosaur that lacks tolerance of other species.

Feeding herbivores with paleobotany without the use of feeders is one of the factors that make Jurassic World: Evolution 2 better than Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis and Jurassic World: Evolution 1.

However, dinosaur cohabitation makes more sense and it is more space-efficient in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis than Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

The "All Likes" sandbox setting is not applicable when making the classical Jurassic Park, ultimate Jurassic Park, and classical Jurassic World.

Even with the addition of the six new large maps along with the expanded versions of Southwest USA, San Diego, and California; it is doubtful whether it is viable or not to make the ultimate Jurassic World using 95% of the dinosaur species especially those of DLCs.

Yes it is, and that's the intention. It's based on the depiction of Therizinosaurus in Jurassic World Dominion, in which Therizinosaurus is fiercely territorial and will attack pretty much anything that comes into its territory.
