Jurassic World Evolution 3 Coming 21 October!

Two of the Deluxe Edition are from cut roster in JWE2, and they were PDLC creatures at that.
Yes, we're all aware of that... and frankly, it's not surprising. Adding juveniles meant more-or-less remaking every animal twice... the fact that were getting over half the previous game's roster in the base game is more shocking than anything...

I think all canon dinosaurs will be present at launch in the game, and I am curious to see how this will include the additional Jurassic World Rebirth additions, as the movie would have released 3 months before this game's launch.
I think it's worth noting that the animated stuff is also canon as according to production team members, as opposed to marketing associates who were given "canon guidebooks".

So, I have no doubt while I believe every canon live-action animal is returning for sure, the animated species (Mono, Scorpios, Notho, Tarbo, and Spinoceratops) and designs (skins and models), I honestly don't think so, because of how Universal treats the live-action set lore and film stuff by not including animated debuted or exclusive stuff in them (unlike let's say, for example, the Star Wars franchise, which frequently does the exact opposite) which I can tell is the same for the JWE game franchise, despite the former (animated tv series) being canon and not the latter (the JWE games, except maybe JWE2’s campaigns). Especially since, from a legal standpoint, they do need an additional Dreamworks license for CC/CT content to be added in as they did for JWE2.

However, as for Rebirth content of any kind, I'm not sure at all as of now. Because despite what it was like for both predecessor games, I feel this game's production plan may have already set up everything before the movie finalized ends on their side that would make them include stuff from it, even if the game is releasing months after.

Given the timing about the launch of Jurassic World: Evolution 3, it will be months after the premiere of the film Jurassic World: Rebirth.

It is likely that the species of the new film will be part of the base game. Given that Dr. Henry Loomis is a paleontologist of the new film, there is no telling whether he will have a role in the new game or not.

Maybe... maybe not. I'm with gabeluna27 on this one; the details of the base game may have been finalized before Frontier got access to the Rebirth stuff... not to mention keeping the Rebirth stuff separate makes a perfectly good chance to get paid DLC out ASAP...

I had to sleep around the announcement cause it was 1:00AM when this was likely to be announced, but now after reading this, I do not need my coffee morning coffee to feel the buzz!

From the premise alone and after visiting the website, it looks to be really a spectacular next step for the franchise. JWE3 really needed to stand out more when compared to the predecessors and I am already sold. After going over the website, this looks to be a JWE game that has the custom modular building that Frontier Planet Series is known for, and I am very excited to see all the trailers, species profiles, and Developer Documentaries moving until the launch of the game!!!!

I ditto this request! I see there is a Discord setup but I personally do not have discord and I would love to discuss here in the Forums soon. It will be really exciting to frequently visit this forum again and speculate what is to come!

It's kind of a mixed bag for me. I didn't like that huayangosaurus was made into a deluxe edition dinosaur as that was a base dinosaur we have to pay additional for in JWE2, but at least the Deluxe editions in this game have 2 of them that were new DLC dinosaur from the previous game.

At the same time... I really need to see what the roster is like because, like how @gabeluna27 has mentioned, it is astonishing that they made families for over 70 animals, Males, Females, and Juveniles that would essentially lead to a new gameplay mechanic around raising baby dinosaurs and seeing new animations of them interacting with each other in new custom ways. It may be less than the final roster of JWE2, but the quality of the roster will get a significant bump!

I am curious to see if there will be any building limits a-la the console editions of planet games, as the introduction of Modular buildings would really set a limit for park building, but if it is like Planet Zoo Console Edition last year, I think that limit would be very generous.

I actually want to check something with you, cause I went to the Jurassic World Evolution 3 website, and there is text that says a firm 82 for the roster of "awe-inspiring pre-historic species" we could welcome to our parks in the Nature segment of "Build your own Jurassic World".

If we take that as the final roster of the base game, + the 4 for the deluxe edition, we would have 86 dinosaurs on launch day at the very least. Still, really impressive roster to start with, especially with them all presumably given the family treatment. I think all canon dinosaurs will be present at launch in the game, and I am curious to see how this will include the additional Jurassic World Rebirth additions, as the movie would have released 3 months before this game's launch. Curious to know if future additions could reintroduce the cut animals for free like how Planet Coaster 2 is reintroducing old themes, or if they will be future paid DLC considering the effort with the new additions.

Also, @Morales, if you check the link I shared above and check the decoration used for the Construct segment, you could see a Megaladon 👀.

And it looks like a Jurassic Park style Pteranodon as well. So I think variants would still be in the game.

If I were to assume, I think the dinosaurs that made a Cannon appearance are the ones that completely secured, as well as any new additions to the roster in JWE2 that the community particularly likes like the aforementioned Megalodon, Gigantoraptor, Minmi, Deinocherus, and Utahraptor. Those that are cut are likely those that are least used or could do with some model updates, like Camarasaurus, Tsintaosaurus, Archaeornithomimus, Deinonychus, and Liopleurodon. I think the Feathered species pack, Prehistoric Marine Species Pack, Cretaceous Predator Pack, and Park Manager's collection pack are in JWE3 from launch day. Again, it is really hard to imagine which of the 122 dinosaurs do not get in, and I am curious if that 82 base game roster count on the website is liable to change as we get closer to launch day.

I am curious to see what the final roster is like, right now, this game overall looks like really solid and really brings about all that the community could ask for for literal years. I am also excited to see that there are tables you could place that guests could sit on, that alongside the many statues of these animals, custom building, terrain, and new locations with the new babies and animations have really gotten me excited for Jurassic World Evolution 3's launch!
Yes, it is hard to imagine which. I figured the canon animals would be included. I was thinking the Tarbosaurus would be in it too, but then again since the interactive episode is non-canon. That's an interesting thought that if some are cut because they need updates, I can live with that. Tarbosaurus could get a new appearance, I would like updates on Carcharodontosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Elasmosaurus, and Tylosaurus. Who knows what they'll do with Dracorex.

I like that idea, of adding the missing animals through free updates. It'd be like Planet Zoo's season pass for the console edition. I wonder if Thanatosdrakon and Concavenator were added in the deluxe because there wasn't room for them for the launch roster? Also, that Frontier did so much that either no time for two more new animals, or exhausted so they added them there.

I have this thought the time of Claire Dearing and Owen Grady are over. Dr. Ian Malcolm will return, the possibility of Dr. Henry Wu returning comes from the fact he is the one behind the technology of making clone dinosaurs. In the new game, it is time for new characters to shine.

It is more of a prediction: when the show Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is reaching the finale, there will be a Chaos Theory DLC.

Dropping characters like Claire and Owen doesn't mean they'll be adopting the new characters from Rebirth as a replacement... after all, they already have OCs doing most of the important work...

Thanks for the words, I really hope that we get more if not all of the creatures when JWE2 ended, plus new ones and Cenozoic.
I've been thinking today about how Cenozoic animals weren't added as the big thing for the game. It seemed rather obvious. I'm not complaining, I'm happy that they pulled off babies. I'm sure they have the means to make them because of Planet Zoo. But maybe, what if that's not enough? Thinking on the animations of the animals of both games, Planet Zoo is subtle compared to the action quality of Evolution. And do these specific animals need to appear in a movie in order for them to be added, probably not, because I don't know if we'll ever see them in a future Jurassic movie. How would they compare to dinosaurs in a Jurassic film. Granted, some are exciting, but not all of them, most of them would just resemble animals we know like horses, camels, and monkeys. And there are a bunch of Paleozoic animals that are exciting too, but not everything from there is. What if they need the resources to have a new kind of technology to pull off fur and the other aspects of these animals? Maybe a fourth game would answer those prayers, we'll have to see, but let's worry about this game.

Surely; Cabot Finch, Dr. Kajal Dua, Isaac Clement, and George Lambert will have roles to play in the new game. It is difficult to say about Lily Haford and Ron Thompson. Who knows what will happen after the film comes out.

I was enthusiastic about this game until I saw the steam page has a "we used AI generation" disclosure. You say AI was used to generate scientist portraits. As a consumer I try to avoid AI gen content. It raises SO many ethcial concerns. Was a human artist fired and replaced by this AI? Was the training data ethically sourced, i.e. not scraped off the Internet? How much excess electricity was used? Was this simply having an algorithm hit "randomize" in a character generator 10 thousand times? Was the use of AI mandated somehow and your hands were tied? Will you even address these concerns?

Conc and Thanos are likely day 1 PDLC.

I was gonna hold off on getting this because of how Planet Coaster 2 was handled. But I do hope JWE3 launches as a incredible game from day one.

Including Gen ai however is a big no no.
I hope Frontier reconsiders this move. Because I do not buy games that use gen ai. You could have asked the fans if they wanted to share their likeness for the scientist portraits and made something fun out of it, if you were struggling so much.
I just don't get it. You can afford Jeff Goldblum.

You can discuss the game over at https://discord.gg/FrontierUnlocked as mentioned here
I left a message for the CM's to see if they will add a Feedback or Suggestions section there.
Thank you i just joined. Quick question will the feedback/suggestion come back soon in jurassic world evolution 3 discussions forum? like it did for jwe1/2 or is going to be on discord only when its added?

Only over 80 species? I'm really concerned about almost only the same species as base game JWE2 species, which counted 79 species without DLCs or Deluxe Edition ( https://www.paleo.gg/games/jurassic-world-evolution-2/dino-db?pack=pack_basegame ). I really hope I don't have to rebuy species I wanted all over again, nor the complete cut of my favorites such as Utahraptor, Gigantoraptor, Yutyrannus, Deinocheirus, Sinosauropteryx, or Jeholopterus...

I really hope that, when they said "over 80 species", they meant over 80 species that are already available when starting the base game, and that we can unlock more species through campaigns or something.

Either that, or the remaining species (other than Concovenator or Thanatosdrakon, which are sadly DLCs again) get added through free updates after the game launches.

Those fears aside, for the new species, I really want Magyarosaurus (my favorite species idea I want for the game), Shunosaurus, Saltasaurus, Argentinosaurus, Plateosaurus, Leaellynasaura, Camptosaurus, Zalmoxes, Tenontosaurus, Psittacosaurus, Zuniceratops, Einiosaurus, Miragaia, Stegouros, Edmontonia, Dromaeosaurus, Austroraptor, Pectinodon, Nothronychus or Segnosaurus, Oxalaia, Dracovenator, Rhamphorhynchus, Deinosuchus, Simosuchus, Dolichorhynchops, Metriorhynchus, and Leedsichthys.

Also, for new cosmetics and variants (yes, I want the Dominion prologue Rexy with feathers as a variant rather than a cosmetic, so we could have the prologue Tyrannosaurus with various colors and patterns), I want the 1997 Pteranodon variant from The Lost World Jurassic Park, as well as the Jurassic World Website Baryonyx variant, the Jurassic World Website Parasaurolophus variant (the more paleo-accurate Parasaurolophus that stands and walks on all fours instead of being bipedal), and the Jurassic World website Edmontosaurus variant (unless that is made into the female Edmontosaurus (with the crested ones being males), which is fine).

The paleo-accurate variants for some species would be great as well, such as the one for Tarbosaurus, the other for Velociraptor, the other for Spinosaurus, the other for Dilophosaurus, and so on, but that's just my wishful thinking.

I also want the Frontier's Giganotosaurus (but with the hands fixed and not pronated) and Dreadnoughtus designs to return alongside their Jurassic World Dominion counterparts, not just their Dominion counterparts.

Other than that, I think this game is going to be great! ^_^
