So, I have two accounts, both with carriers and all the black camos and ships, one for in the bubble and one for out in the black for exploration.

I just came back to the game after a few years - left when "space legs" were added because of the catastrophic launch of the upgrade.

I have Virpils and for whatever reason my bindings backup won't show up in the controllers list and I just wanted to come in here to complain about having to reprogram the few hundred bindings necessary to play the game. I would have been playing weeks ago but had to wait until I literally had DAYS to work through all the bindings again, and am just now getting started on it. Thank God I have multiple monitors so I don't have to alt-tab out every time I need to check something - only to document where I bound what... What a PITA!!!

My only question is, am I going to have to do this again when I buy the space legs upgrade??

The bindings directory is easily copied and pasted to a memory stick or another hard drive. It's the same as horizons directory location

For couriosity since one of the recent updates the game resets to the default key bindings whenever you switch between horizons and odysee. If you switch it back to the custom profile your key bindings are there again. At least for me as a keyboard player this works. I know a friend who claimed his flight stick settings do not return this way.

Better still RENAME YOUR BINDINGS - only "custom" gets mucked about by the game - properly renamed binds (see pinned thread at top of this forum) NEVER get messed up by updates etc.

It's as clunky as hell and there should be a better way of managing it - some sort of auto-backup or cloud save or something. It still bugs me that it's so janky. But, it's also the way it's been for eight years.

But it’s such a great feature I can’t imagine why all developers aren’t doing it.
