If I need a pee, I park perpendicular to the toast rack, set video to record, go do the do and come back to dock. Then, when away from home, watch docking shenanigans by PC and NPC alike at double speed. With Benny Hill music.

I think you may have misunderstood the idea behind the docking computer. It's there to automate the docking if you're tired of it but expects you to jump in if something unexpected happens. It won't compensate for another ship knocking you off course, for example. I don't think "BUG BUG BUG BUG!!!!11! !ONE ELEVEN !" is accurate as much as "don't go to the bathroom while flying a vehicle".

Otherwise why not ask for an autopilot to get you there and an automatic trading agen to do the buying and selling? We could just set the whole thing up as a screen saver.

And we're only ribbing you. I agree it is upsetting but trust me, even that far in the future, computers could be buggy so I still don't trust them to do anything critical.

From the amount of NPCs I see exploding while trying to dock, I wouldn't touch the docking computer. Since it uses the same artificial un-intelligence.

Ok. He's not ribbing you. He's being mean. However, the point is valid if poorly put..... Docking computers are like Kryten. Theoretically brilliant but practically useless.

Well ive raised a support ticket. I can upload a video to show this problem. All i want is my credits back and while the devs are at it they can give me the 400k of credits i lost to the previous bug in the link that i posted. I suppose that was my fault too, fanboys will do anything to defend this game, even the bugs. Get with reality guys, its broken, simple, end of!

Can anyone offer some advice as how to get my credits back, will they reimburse me? Im done playing tonight and tbh im losing patients with this game as i feel cheated.

I feel bad for you but honestly what did you expect?? Never ever, everrrr leave automation to do it's own thing.. You have triple redundancy auto pilots on 500 million$ aircraft, designed by company's whose only function is to provide a safe landing, yet auto land screws up, that's why humans are still at the pointy end. Automation is designed to reduce workload, not absolve you of responsibility.

Doesn't matter if it's a $50 computer game, or a $10 milllion piece of navigation software, it will screw up eventually. Murphy's law...

Still log a ticket, you never know.

If the docking computer is suppose to have 100% success rate, the OP should be reimbursed. The docking computer company should pay for his loss, or FD if it is a bug.

Just ignore the fan boys. If you mention anything bad about their precious game you will get chastised no matter what. It is better to just focus on the few people here who mean well and are trying to help.

I had an issue where I came out of super cruise inside the station walls, like as part of them, and instantly blew up. I posted it here and got blamed for it as my fault, so like I said.

Thankyou Dimensions and RedOctober most sensible posts ive read. What happened to all the nice KS backers from 2 years ago? This game has attracted an awful lot of people that have come to this forum and simply sprout rubbish. Even though ive been around here since 2010 back in the "Dark days" when you was lucky to get 1 post per month, well i dont post here much now because of some of the people that this forum has attracted. Thats just my opinion of course.

Also to the Fanboys you wouldnt beleive how much i try to promote this game over at the world Famous Guru3D forum. I bend over backwards to really push this game and everyone over there knows how much i love the franchise and how much i try to keep people updated as well as giving my very knowledgeable opinions with over 34 years of gaming behind me.

Anyhow ticket raised.

Like i said i can upload a video of this terrible bug. If a Dev requests a video then i will upload one and show the Bug in full flow!

wont happen, docking computer is crap and you would be the first to get refunded, there where people who just exploded and had the pictures to prove it, no refund.

I tested this extensively and can confirm that at the point that it was possible to vary your exit distance, getting too close did indeed cause you to appear in station.

Only did it once accidentally. After that, it was a deliberate challenge.

(Really, sometimes I think they took the game from 1984 and put more textures in, even the bugs are the same, which is kinda impresssive.)
