Just me or have Dev responses and updates stopped?

Is this because of the weekend? Not sure if it's typical for Frontiee to be unresponsive on the weekends. If they take them as a break, I am fine. I want happy, rested Devs not exhausted people who never see their families but just curious if this is normal or concerning lol.

Frontier is based in England. English companies usually like their hard workers rested, so most of them don't work on weekends if it's not absolutely neccessary. Community management definately isn't THAT important I guess. Plus, some of them are at twitchcon - so they are actually working, just not in the forums.

But yes, I look forward to more news and answers as well.

Okay cool just checking. Maybe if a Dev sees this, in the future just putting up a note that they will respond to questions after the weekend would help. I think people are getting extra worked up due to lack of responses when hopefully it's just the devs taking a bit of time to themselves.

It is Sunday and I don't think the devs should go through crunch. I'd rather the game was delayed than Frontier resort to that.

They haven't been silent though, just busy. They've delivered two patches during the beta and have announced an offline Franchise-like mode that was not previously going to be a part of the game. It's a decision that's been made after feedback was given to Frontier during the beta.

I'm not saying I expect the Devs to work through the weekend. I just wanted to clarify if this is a normal Frontier practice. We were getting a good number of updates and responses which made me happy to see and I'll be happy as long as that resumes during the week. I'd rather the Devs be treated like people than robots.

I think Paul and Bo will start responding to things again, tomorrow. And we're quite possibly seeing another beta update on Tuesday or Wednesday. Only if they remain totally quiet for the rest of the week, we might have overdone it with bug reporting.

I know :)

One of my wishes in the past, as a Planet Coaster fan and someone who put a good chunk of time into JWE, was that I wish Frontier were more up-front about what they were working on, or cannot achieve. Not making promises but instead saying "Sorry we can't deliver dynamic weather in PC"
"Sorry, this feature won't be coming to JWE"

I think the community managers here are doing a great job relaying info from the dev team and once the beta is coming to a close, I reckon we'll hear much more from them.

Quite simply I imagine as things they may be working on may not end up making it into the game (whether it's made as a promise or not) for whatever reason which may annoy a few as we had with PC. As they've always said if it's not ready to be shown off it won't be. And on the other side of things never say never, whilst certain features may not be planned currently it's always possible it gets implemented a year, 2 years or more from now. I personally don't see the need to know each and every thing they are working on - it spoils the surprise later on.

It's a normal Frontier (and UK company) practice :)
