I have had issues the past day or so with the servers not sure he weekend would not expect much to happen til monday. As for your mod issues the most you can do there is take the issues to the community management team. I sent them evidence once of a problem took forever to get a response, got asked to send all of the evidence to another of the community managers and never got response again when I sent it. You might have better luck
Oh and I did have a case where the mission board did not appear. support told me the system state after I took the mission had changed and that can affect sevices at a station like the mission board

Shortly after I posted here that had not had a CTD I ended up getting one
Refuel is a long standing bug not specifically related to Engineers and FD is aware of it. Caused by clicking on the refuel button too soon after docking. If, like me you immediately lower the ship to hanger, click on services and immediately the refuel button, delay the refuel click until the ship starts lowering to avoid the hang. If you get the hang, I've been informed clicking on engineers from the right panel will reset the refuel button.

well 10 hours of playing last night i never once got an error .

Ah, OK. I entered a ticket to request help, but it turned out I was able to cancel the ticket.
No, my computer is wrapped in NVidia.
The problem was with NVidia. There is a setting:
Control Panel - NVidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings - Power Management Mode
That was set by default to: Adaptive.
Once changed to: Prefer Maximum Performance, the game runs smooth as silk again. Well, minor delays with some menus that require communicating with the server and the galaxy map aside and some of the other stuff Andy_3_913 mentioned.
Now, that doesn't mean there is no fault to give to the ED folks. They could have taken this into account, or at least, told us, perhaps under system reqs or their issue FAQ.
This follow-up with information that may be useful to others brought to you by Triggering Monsters Inc.
