JWE Dinosaur numbers and the missing 3.

So we've had quite a month. And here is some theorywork ive put up thinking about what we can expect the final month.

So the current situation is:

37 current dinosaurs in vanilla, 3 possible additions

5 deluxe edition dinosaurs.

1 confirmed FK DLC dinosaur, 4 plausible dinosaurs. 1 hybrid.

So that means that the highest possible outcome based on hints so far are... 50 dinosaurs on launch, with 2 hybrids.

The extra 3 are a callback to the german article that said 40. I've started to believe that they intentionally left out 3 dinosaurs out of the version they showed in the A-D naming convention to keep them hidden from us. we've yet to find out around 10-14 of the remaining dinosaurs of the 37.

So i made a list of potential dinosaurs that could be added in the A-D category that are relevant additions to the game.These are all based on existing dig sites confirmed ingame. If this theory actually holds some water we can expect more carnivores.

Afrovenator
Albertosaurus
Alioramus
Andesaurus
Carcharodontosaurus
Daspletosaurus
Diplodocus

These are the plausible additions that i found, that is well known and requested. Let me hear what you think about this theory.

As far I know we only have 30 confirmed so far. So that leaves out another 12. I don't know where you got 37 from?

Also the FK dlc will have more likely 5 dinosaurs and 1 hybrid: Allosaurus, Stygimoloch, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Sinoceratops and Indoraptor

I added those. Which is the 1 FK dinosaur + 4 others and 1 hybrid.

Because the latest demo showed had 42 dinosaur including the deluxe edition dinosaurs. That puts the current number on 37.

Albertosaurus
Alioramus
Andesaurus
Carcharodontosaurus
Daspletosaurus

Acrocanthosaurus - I think is very possible(as part of the Cedar Mountain & Cloverly Formations), and one which I hope is in the game.

I think Afrovenator is highly unlikely since - there is no Jurassic, North African site presently listed in the game. I think Torvosaurus would be a better Megalosaur and is much more likely - IMO.

I think Albertosaurus maybe replaced by Gorgosaurus - but either way would be good IMO. As they are both Albertosaurine tyrannosaurs.

I think Alioramus would be a good choice for an Asian tyrannosaur, but one which is a bit different from the North American tyrannosaurs .

While Andesaurus is a natural to be paired with Giganotosaurus. I still think that Argentinosaurus is more likely as the large titanosaur.

I agree that Carcharodontosaurus is likely - especially since both the Bahariya and Chenini formations are a part of the game.

I also doubt that Daspletosaurus will be in the game, as Albertosaurus/Gorgosaurus are a better known tyrannosaur.

I do agree that Diplodocus is also very possible/likely - considering how many late Jurassic Formations there are in North America & Europe in this game.

The issue i have with Argentinosaurus is that it is not in the Candeleros formation, and we do not have other dig sites in Argentina in the game (So far atleast).

Gorgosaurus is likely already in the list of the 37 (Which about 10 are still unknown and 4 have been glimpsed). I was theorizing on the possibility that they've intentionally left out A-D dinosaurs to leave some hype (The potential 3 missing from the german article).

Yes - Argentinosaurus is a part of the Huincul Formation - which is a part of the Rio Limay subgroup. Just like the Candeleros formation is. And the age difference is basically no more than 5 million years.

And as I have been pointing out - if Gorgosaurus is on the list - then Albertosaurus likely won't be. As they are two very similar & closely related species. Although that has not stopped them from doing that with other closely related species - like Pachycephalosaurus, Stygimoloch, & Dracorex (which some paleontologists claim are in fact the same species).

But over all I do agree that some of the A-D species have been left out to help build up hype/keep some mystery in the game.

Exactly 30 have been officially confirmed so far, and that's including the five Deluxe Edition dinos and the Carnotaurus.

If you refer to the Wiki there are 34 confirmed dinosaurs with an additional 4 unidentified but seen ingame:

The current number is 43 confirmed species but until recently it was 42 (as shown in the recent dev build). With the addition of Carnotaurus that wasn't present in that dev build the number has increased by one, meaning that additional Fallen Kingdom dinosaurs will be added on top of this 42.

Well, I think you still have to read or understand.

It refers to that in the video of 20 minutes we were shown 4 unlocked dinosaurs of 42 species (including 5 of the deluxe version), according to a German article mention that there are 40 species of the base game plus the 5 luxury gives a total of 45 species (that's why they show us 42 to keep them a secret since they only show the miniatures of the letter A to the letter D. Then they showed 30 Dinosaurs until now of 45, it means that 15 hidden dinosaurs are still missing (in case of that this german article this wrong and are only 42, then there are 12 dinosaurs that for now it is unknown what they are.

Go back and check the first 20 minutes of gameplay from IGN. When he opens the dinosaur list it says 42. And the deluxe edition dinosaurs are included there. I dont see how hard that math is to do for you guys, its not to me. I already told you once that it was in the latest demo played by IGN. You dont have to ignore what im trying to tell you.

I would actually prefer to see the Huincul Formation get its own DLC

It has some awesome dinosaurs and that would be a epic DLC in the future. Added the Andesaurus as a possible A-D titanosaur though. It was found in the Candeleros formation.
