There was an older RCT3 park I made that you should check out if you want to understand some things in this post. You can view it here -> http://www.shyguysworld.com/Archive/index.php/topic,16467.0.html
My first true park I’ve made since Planet Coaster has released is an old favorite of mine. 2 years ago, I began work on Kent Island Park, to create a timeline park. Unlike most of my previous parks, this one was planned extensively right down to the terrain it sits on.
This first park had many flaws. Flaws that I tried to correct in a new version, which turned out to be worse than the original, however there were still some things I was able to pull from it to improve the general concept of KIP. These things, plus a few others from the first version, were all culminated in the Parkitect version, and that version was successful. But there was just something about Parkitect that bothered me, something that took away from the feeling the original had. Because of the isometric perspective that Parkitect had, I lost the photography aspect of the park. There was just something about being on the paths like a guest that made the whole thing feel alive.
Now in Planet Coaster I've taken what I've learned from the past 2 years of revision and applied them to create the best version of the park I have yet.

Note that there are comparison photos in the spoilers.
Starting off with what is one of the only lasting images of the park since it was first made. That being the entrance.
The entrance was one of the hardest things to get right in the first version. Nothing really fit with what I was looking for, and I didn’t even know what I was looking for. In the end it just sort of came together and that was it.
Bay Street is the park’s version of a mainstreet. The original intention was to build in the style of architecture found at Fells Point in Baltimore, since the park is in Maryland. This didn’t have that 70s-amusement park touch to it though, which was the original intention seeing as it was a timeline park. Parkitect brought about the current layout of the street, and not much has been changed.
The view across the water has completely changed from the original.
Next update should bring about Colonial Ville, and subsequently Old Town (Assuming my computer can manage it). Thanks for viewing.
