Newcomer / Intro Key bindings

Can anyone recommend a good set of keybindings and joystick setup, I am still struggling with keys and controls? I do play the occasion flight sim so I am no stranger to whizzing around.

Hi,

What sort of set up are you using, that is which joystick and or throttle?

I just have a Saitek Cyborg Evo and keyboard. Nothing too fancy. The stick does have a throttle paddle on it.

That should give you a pretty good start then change them to what you feel comfortable with.

Hi,

The first thing I had to do was change the roll from the Mouse (Left/Right) to the KB (A & D).

Basically, swap what's currently on A & D to Mouse Left & Right and what's currently on Mouse to KB.

Once you do that it should make things a lot easier.

Before I did that I was just rolling around and wasn't able to fly for s#$t!

Mouse and Keyboard - Note that I use Roll on the mouse while most people use Yaw. Depending on your "mouse holding type" you might be better with either one.

Well I have just played around with the controls and I'm really not finding it any easier, I just can't handle the 'roll' movement. If I could fly using the same controls as I do in Il-2 I'd be fine.
