This looks great, but I've a slight problem. I'm using an X-55 throttle with a CH Fighterstick. Unfortunately the tool detects the Fighterstick as a CH Throttle (funnily enough, so does ED, defaulting my stick to the throttle controls and the throttle to the stick controls, meaning I have to re-map them). Is this something that can be fixed, either at my end or yours?

Various updates have been made. For XBox controllers it appears that FDev renamed the controls. I've updated them, but there are some that don't have an obvious translation: if you have an XBox controller please try again and let me know specifically which buttons are missing and what they should be mapped to.

I've changed some of the modifier colours so they should be clearer against the white background.

I've fix the name for the next/previous camera, and removed the co-pilot 15/16 camera typos.

For my reference fuzbgh the SRV brake is mapped top the XBox 'View' button but is not being displayed. All the other mappings look good thanks.

This suggests that you have a bad configuration in the CH control manager software. You might want to either remove the configuration or uninstall/reinstall the software and see if that fixes it.

Thank you for reporting this. I've updated this button so it should now work.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but no luck. I've uninstalled and re-installed a few times but the issue just won't go away.

OMG. This is just fantastic. THANK YOU!
You've made it Warthog compatible and it also detects my pedals. This tool will make it worth me trying to remap my controls into something useful. Until now, remapping has been such a ballache that I have been totally underusing these great peripherals and not enjoying ED as much as I should have been.
Thank you,
Thank you.

Hi jgm,

Great tool. I've used it ages ago, but now with the 2.3 release I need a fresher for all the new camera bindings and such.

Old eyes need large, contrasting text.

Suggestion- format the printout so it is one page for Throttle, One Page for Stick and one for Keyboard. This would make more room for labels on a page and not require screen grabs and such.

Suggestion- Don't use yellow as a color, instead brown, purple or maybe dark grey or blue background with white text.

Thanks!
DMG

Good idea, and much appreciated here if it happens.

The output is multiple images, one for each device, so you can save them individually. If the text is too small due to you having lots of bindings for each control you might consider generating multiple sheets, one for each set for if control. You can do this in the initial page by selecting which control groups your do/do not want.

Fantastic tool. Thank you! Just a quick question:

Is there an easy way of looking through the .binds files that people have already submitted? I've found a couple linked on the forums, but a list for different devices would be handy.

All the time and paper saved out thanks to one publishing his binds with your tool adress on :D

Very usefull indeed !!! Many thanks to have make it :)

Now I should have just one asking : could you think in doing the same for : planning new settings ?
Am doing so, right now, therefor I searched on the theme and found your site. And it struck me that it would be nice to have the revert effect : set the controls I want on your so easy to understand view, and have the bind file created :D

Browsing configurations and setting configurations are both areas that I've looked at and rejected due to lack of time. If anyone here would like to take a look at doing this then feel free to post here or message me and I'll be happy to help out as much as time allows.

Is there any way that all the bindings submitted (that have the 'Make Public' checkbox checked) can be compiled into a list of links so people can get ideas? The links in this thread are kind of disjointed and there are like 39 pages. Having to go through all those pages would be a major pain in the backside.

That would be great, especially if we could filter by device type.

That's the kind of thing I was thinking of. Just a list of bindings people have submitted, or a representative selection if there are way too many.

This is the must have tool for E:D. Thank you so much!

I have 2 questions:

1) Would it be possible to add an option that the sheet is filled with the button names (in place of the action names)?
I think such a printout would be a great help when you check or edit a binding.

2) (not really important) in this binding http://www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/gzfrfr it says 2 times "Weapon colour".

code is:
Code:
    <WeaponColourToggle>
        <Primary Device="T16000M" Key="Joy_7" />
    </WeaponColourToggle>
    <EngineColourToggle>
        <Primary Device="T16000M" Key="Joy_8" />
    </EngineColourToggle>
It should say "Engine colour" in the 2nd button?
