Inspired by another thread, I started to do some experimenting. Come to find out, the keyboard CAN be used to interact and even control some parts of the game! Here's what I've discovered thus far (some of these were found by other players):
* Arrow keys work to navigate the main and Option menu
* ESC key works like the Option button on DS4 (brings up menu)
* CTRL-F brings up FPS meter in main menu only (but this may be a bug)
* CTRL-B brings up bandwidth meter, same rules as FPS
* CTRL-L creates a "network bookmark" (no clue what that is)
What this tells me is that ED is polling the keyboard, even when not in a text box! The ESC key in particular is interesting, because this works inside the game itself.
I haven't tried all possible combinations yet, but if nothing else, it begs the question - is there any good reason why Frontier can't add keyboard shortcuts to things like silent running, cargo hatch, and the like?
