No Worries. Glad you got it sorted. Guess its more an issue with the TrackIR as my Numlock is always on. I am running the Beta as well as I built a simple Voice Dictation for Comms in Game.

I'll be glad when Arflint gets back and reopens the Website. I may have to send him a bill for Tech Support

Hi Guys,

I understand the Key mappings/Binding list for Kics is on the RipleyGalactic website.....However this is still down. Can anyone help with supplying me a bindings list or point me in the right direction where i can find a list?

Sooooooo Want to use this buy i will need to remap my keybindings as i have been playing with them setting various controllers up.

KICS uses the Default ED Bindings except for a few changes. Since mine is so modified now there is no way to pull the original from my profile.

Previous post I mentioned that if you go into the ED Control options, you can select a command and then tell KICS the command and she will press the appropriate key for it. Easiest was I know to setup the bindings properly.

Thanks Loriath, so i have ASTRA as my voice now on VA, and that uses default game key bindings, so if i ditch ASTRA, load KICs3 then all should be good to go?

There are a few differences, so I would load it up in the Tutorials and then test all the commands in case.

As far as when, I have no clue. I know Arflint had an issue with the website that dropped it, and he was going to rebuild it but I have heard nothing since.

If anyone is interested I can upload my custom KICS profile, I spent some time a while back editing the default KICS 3 profile so you can enter your own keybindings in to the profile and all the actions work correctly.

New to the forums, been playing E

awhile.
I realized after installing this, it is not setup to work with HOTAS (x52 Pro). Does anyone know how I can go about editing this, or are there other voice attack packs that work with HOTAS?

It uses the default keys for Elite. If your controls file has those default keys defined, then no problem. I have an X52 Pro and it works fine. I have my own personalized controls for the X52 and the defaults (mostly, I have modded my files a lot) for the keyboard.

The other option is to go into your control file and select a command (there are 2 columns for most commands, so you can have both Keyboard and Hotas mappings at the same time) then speak the command and KICS will press the appropriate key.

The KICS Voice Attack profile is not setup to push buttons on your stick, but you can do that as well by editing the commands in Voice Attack. Instructions on that can be found on the Voice Attack Website.

Yeah I have all the default bindings (both in-game, and in the Saitek profiler), but it doesn't do anything in game. It's attempting to press keyboard keys, and when I select Saitek X52 Pro Controller in game, those keys aren't bound.

Well there are two choices. Edit the X52 Profile to use the keys, or edit the Keyboard profile to use the X52 settings. Either way you have to do one or the other. It takes about 10 minutes tops to do either one.

You don't need the keybinds in the Saitek Profiler. I am not sure if the VA commands will send the keypresses through to the Saitek profiler which will intercept them. All of my Saitek Profiler settings are unbound.

Absolutely loving KICS 3. It really helps make the experience more fluid.

However, something that's really bugging me is the volume of the sounds. They all seem set to 100% by default. Worse still, for some reason VoiceAttack seems to ignore the volume setting in the Windows volume mixer - even when muted!

Does anyone know of a way of setting all sounds to a lower volume (e.g. to 10%) other than manually editing each command and setting the volume for each sound one by one? I've had a look around for a config file. There's "Ripley Galactic KICS 3.vap" but it doesn't seem to hold volume info.

This looks like it may do what you want. In main voice attack settings panel.

ETA: I'm using the voice attack beta pack instead of standard, but presume the functionality is the same

I think that's exactly what I need! The option wasn't in the version of VA I was using, but I've just updated and the slider is there.

I know this has been asked but does anyone have the original changes that need to be made to the control settings? I'm just coming back after a long break and all my changes have been erased to I have to setup the profile from scratch. Since the website is down I can't seem to find the changes that need to be made for KICS 3. If anyone can help that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kics uses the defaults, but if something is not bound, go into the game bindings, choose it and say the command. KICS will press the proper button.

Arflint is no longer in the game and is not responding, so I doubt you will get a reply from him directly. Might want to ask around in a General thread, on Reddit, or on the VA forums.

This is an awesome Voice Pack. Too bad Airflint isn't around anymore, would love for the lovely lady to add responses for TrackIR commands I've added to the profile.
