Know whats great about that trailer today

As an oldie (well mid-40s I guess is a bit old!)but I have no issues with FPS, but from what they've said it won't be the only way to skin the cat. It's great to see it come to the game, been a long wait. I look forward most to the new planets and the graphic updates and doing some exploring.
I feel the same. Im 38 years old, I personally am excited asf for this. I love Elite Dangerous as it is and pretty much anything else is a bonus. Add that to the fact I also like shooters and I may never need to play a different game again. If that happened I would be ecstatic

I played lots of QuakeWorld in my younger days which was brutally fast and often bordered on unplayable on a 5.6k connection. Kids today don't know what real lag is!

Never personally had any issue with the idea of there being a significant fps component and it appears to be optional with stealth and 20,000 or so bubble systems to land on if you want to avoid it entirely.

My main hope is that it feels like it counts for something. I'm curious to see how you go about flipping systems via combat. The mechanics in instanced ports are bound to be a dilemma design wise.
