Krait Mk. II, it's now a Python analog

That would be neat. The comments in the article may have been referring to the hidden "how conspicuous is this ship" stat, however, that determines how likely it is for cops to attempt to scan you.

Considering the chieftain and challenger both have an array of small hardpoints, I don't know if I'd agree hardpoint inflation is much of a problem right now.

It is not the amount,
it is the size.
There are less tools in the large calibre than there
are in small or medium:
No large verions of...
... railgun
... missile
... torpedo
... mine
... powerplay weapons

The guardian stuff is coming as large weapons,
that one is interesting, but for the shady trades
one needs engineered tools with special effects.
That is lacking in the large category.

Wow that heat on the readout boosting,
if this one is fast enough stock, he will get reinforced
drives with extra cooling hoses!

Its in the 'white van man' section of the Cool Wall, cops think its a bunch of windowcleaners on a job when a Krait goes past.

I'm intrigued to find out what the story is with this 'scanning' mechanic, and if its just made up.fluff or something tangible.

Its been in-game for ages. Ships have a hidden 'conspiciousness' rating, which determines which ships get scanned first by sysAuth. They basically say the Krait will be scanned after the Python, if both a Python and Krait need to be scanned.

Ahhh, that's a very interesting mechanic that I've never heard of.

Do you (or anyone else) have any links to forums posts or other details/discussion on this? How much do we know about it at the moment?

Ohh looks like i'll be getting me a new ship this week! :D

Same here, this is starting to look better than I had hoped for, it's a good looking ship and I've long been of the opinion that we need a proper competitor for the Python.

Interesting also to see how well evolved the walking seems to be.
