lag on f124m for switch version

so i bought the game yesterday, super excited to play but when i launched the game the different menu screens were a bit laggy, especially the pit crew schedule screen, which ran very poorly. i was hoping maybe someone knows how to fix this or is it a problem with the game itself and the developers have to do something? i play on nintendo switch

I don't know what it's like on other platforms at the moment, but Switch performance really needs optimising - the menus are surprisingly more laggy than the actual on-track view and I currently can't progress past the China Sprint race without the game crashing on me. Hopefully some form of graphics settings are added, even if it's as basic as a Performance or Quality preset - not everyone's Switch is created equal, I'm still running the game on hardware that's now 7 years old!
