Anyone know if there are any login parameters for the launcher? I don't think there is, but I thought I'd ask. I did search the All-Knowing 'Net and found these: /autorun /autoquit /edo which tell the launcher to use your saved credentials, quit and launch Odyssey. Even found the one to go straight to /vr but nothing to handle the credentials directly.
The reason why I ask is that, some time ago, I put together a crude little C# program that launched EdDiscovery and then the Elite Launcher, paused while I logged in and then relaunched Voice Attack once Elite loaded.
The main reason why I'm asking is that I have three commanders. We'll call them "Larry, Moe & Curly". I solved the login problem using the traditional method of creating separate launcher (EDLaunch-Larry.exe, EDLaunch-Moe.exe, EDLaunch-Curly.exe) and saved the login credentials for each. This works fine with or without my little program but wrecks VR. I mean, I can launch each version successfully and the game runs, but nothing is displayed in my headset even though head tracking is clearly working on my regular screen.
I can only get VR to work if I run run the original EDLaunch.exe program, but then I have to log into the appropriate account again if I want to do it as a particular commander. A bit of a PitA.
Now, all that said, creating a new Launcher, naming it appropriately and saving the credentials means that information is being passed around somehow and is clearly stored somewhere. I searched my AppData and even Registry to see I could find that information, but no luck. Depending on what I find, I could then modify my little launcher program to adjust accordingly and preserve my VR experience.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this?
