Launcher not well launching :-(

Got all setup to play some EDO and the launcher needs to update, but does nothing. The process still working but not doing anything, anybody else had this issue ? Probably 14.1 related. What a crappy game when you can't actually play it when you set aside some time :-(

The launcher is infamous for not showing progress when it is actually doing things. Just leave it. If you're impatient, check Task Manager, if it's active, it's doing stuff.

But how long should it be stuck in "preparing for update"?

It can take ages, never timed it. Like I said, if it's active in task manager, leave it.

Heaps of times. Got it working, just had to wait for a long time before it started to sync the files. Too impatient to get blasted away by Thargoids I guess ;-)

Even on a fast PC it can sometimes take an age to get going.
On my laptop - which is 5 years old - I just set the update off and looked a couple of hours later to see if it was done, as was suggested above, if Task Manager shows it is doing something, it is, albeit slowly sometimes!
